Just wondered if anyone has any "have to pack this" items. I did go to Walmart last night a buy some Brita water bottles, got tons of sunscreen......

What do you all not leave home without????

Melissa

we will be flying.....

A first aid kit with a little of everything for those of us who get sick every time we leave home. I make sure there is asprin, tylenol, benedryl, ammodium ad, moleskin for feet, alcohol rubs, basitracin, sewing kit, vitamin E for blisters, bandaids, etc. I also get a 6 pack of target travel tissues (cheaper than kleenex) and put a pack in the rental car and a pack in the camera case. I usually only take 3 or 4 of the packs and put the rest in the car at home. DH has allergies year around, so we always use them.

The other thing that goes with us every where is our collapsible cooler. It fits in the zippered "lid" of our suitecase and takes up no room at all. If we need extra luggage to get home, we use it as a carryon.

also if you are going to be doing laundry, pack some Tide Tablets and dryer sheets.if you are taking a cooler if you are driving buy some drinks for it for the rom it will save you a ton of money.if you are flying and then renting a car then stop at a store and pick up these items.

Film, Film, and more Film. You always seem to underestimate how many pictures you will take at WDW. Also, batteries for your camera and tapes for your camcorder if you are taking it. I also take a first aid kit of sorts with anything we might possibly need just to be on the safe side. It also seems to be a guarantee we won't need it if I actually have it. Blister Block is GREAT and a total foot saver with all of the walking you will be doing. We just went yesterday and bought all of our trip stuff and we even had fun doing that since we know it's for WDW. Hope you have a magical trip!

Zip lock bags.

Light wt back pack.

Frist aid kit.

Belly Pouch (fanny pack)

Sun glasses and eye glass cleaning wipes.

Last but not least smiles your are going to THE WORLD

Have a wonderful flight and a Magical adventure.

cortisone cream for the bug bites which slip through

a batter recharger and rechargeable batteries for the digicam, walkmans, gameboys....

Blister inhibiting socks

Gel inserts for shoes or moleskin if you wear sandals

Small battery operated fan

Small rain ponchos in a zip lock bag (for storing after they get wet)

Hand cleaner

Wet wipes
Shout Wipes - my son can never stay clean
Moleskin- don't forget the scissors to cut this
disposable ponchos - one for each family member for 1/2 the #
of days of the trip
bug spray - have only needed it once but it cost a small fortune so
this is now in the first aid kit
Water camera

Stamps, if you plan on sending post cards home.

Aspirin (children's type as well if needed!)

Bandaids

Hats

Sundblock

If anyone has glasses, those individual wrapped eyeglass wipes are great!

I agree on the rain ponchos, but when we were there in Dec, we had to purchase the ones from WDW (Dec is supposed to be a dry month, but we had 10" of rain in one week!! ). They were $5.49 for the adult size and $3.71 for kids. That might seem high, but whenever they ripped, Disney replaces them FOR FREE!!:bounce: We didn't know when we bought them but a CM told us when they heard me giving my son a hard time for ripping his! DH ripped one on our last day and they replaced his just as easy!!:p Considering we used them 4 of our 5 days in the parks, they were worth their weight in GOLD! :bounce:

Stamps for postcards and my list of addresses! Send them on the first couple of days and they MIGHT arrive home by the time you do!

Our autograph book from last time so we can add anyone we missed from an earlier trip. A list with my Ps and numbers on it. Annother vote for Disney rainponchos! We have used the same ones for 8 years now and they look brand new! A backpack to hold stuff in for our park days. Plenty of hats and extra sunglasses for the little one. Mousekeeping envelopes and plenty of $5 bills to put in them. :D

leeserw, the Blister Blocker I believe is made by Band-Aid. I would do a commercial for this product because I think its such a lifesaver! I always get blisters from all the walking and these work like miracles. This time I'm going to try putting them on the spots where I always develop blisters BEFORE the blister happens to see if it keeps them from ever starting.

I bought ours at Wal-Mart. They don't have them with the regular band-aids. They are with the foot care products. Already purchased a pack for our next trip!

If your children are little (infants or toddlers) bring along a small child-proofing kit with outlet covers, bump guards, ect.. in a ziplock bag.

A few specific ones I didn't see:

I loved the bandaids with the anitseptic already on them. So easy to just slap on a booboo. I even handed a few out to poor folks in lines we were in that needed them!

A case for your glasses on "wet" rides, like the water parks. I had not thought of this and had to buy a $10 one at Blizzard Beach. Uggh! I did like the one I got though at it went on a cord around my neck.

A couple of disposable camera if you have little ones. It was great to be able to give them each a camera to take their own pictures. And frankly these are some of the most fun pictures taken. Like the close up of the carousel horse wallpaper at 1900 Park Faire my son took.

A waterproof/underwater camera. These are soooo expensive there and much less at Costco at home.

A pen, small notebook, scissors and tape. These were hard to find when I wanted to write something down away from our room. I am a compulsive note taker, so had a small spiral notebook of idex cards, so I could write notes to myself for the next day (PS times, show times, etc.) and then just put that and the pen in my fanny pack.

Thats all that comes to mind! I love the one to pack your smiles! Definitely don't forget extras of those!

Jennifer

we always stop and buy several rolls of paper towels.
We bring a collapsible net laundry bag.

If you have little ones who are potty-trained, I brought a bunch of cheap bandaids to put over the "autoflush" on the toilet, so they could"finish" without being grabbed by the roaring potty monster and sucked down the pipes to Potty Monster Land.

Here's my gotta have list for traveling (not just WDW!) I am the queen of the knapsack!

small sewing kit w/some thread, needles, buttons, and most importantly safety pins!

baby wipes - well worth lugging!

ziploc bags - a small handful is a life saver, they are good for film, little souvies, etc

travel packs of kleenex

spray deodorant

face cloths

I always have a travel toothbrush and toothpaste in my knapsack too - I love to take a break in the middle of the day and wash my face, brush my hair, and brush my teeth, its amazing how refreshing a pause in the middle of he day is.

I found that soft gel/padded inserts for my shoes help keep my feet from getting tired and sore.

I recently started using Tempur-Pedic inserts that I purchased from Brookstone. They are pressure relief pads that really protect the soles of my feet.

Soft gel inserts are readily available in most stores and will also help lessen foot pain.

These pads combined with Wright-sock double layer blister inhibiting socks have helped me handle long days on my feet without getting blisters or tired feet.

Someone already mentioned Shout Wipes. I don't usually do those, but I do have a stain stick that stays where we stash the dirty clothes. When everything gets taken off, it gets a once over and any stains get treated that day instead of 5-7 days later when we return home.

bearzabout,
Where do you get the Wright-sock double layer socks? Those sound like just what I need! Thanks for the ge insert explaination also.
