OK Who is going in January and any great discount codes??

We are going January 21-28 and staying at AKL. I booked AAA and did the FREE upgrade (YRD) from a basic ticket to the parkhopper plus water parks(brrr..)and DQ and Plesasure Island....and we bought the meal plan...but I heard a rumor that their "might" be a FREE meal plan coming out? Does anyone know anything about the meal plan or any other GREAT discounts large or small. THANKS

I'll be there from the 20th - 23rd staying at the CR. I got the same discount as you, I didn't book the meal plan though because I'm traveling with my 4 year old niece and think it will be easier to do counter service meals with her than sit downs. She's afraid of the characters, so that wouldn't even be an option. Next family trip I'll be getting the meal plan, we got it for free in September and had a great time!

We are going Jan 20-29 (sooo bummed Buzz Lightyear is closed) and are staying at BCV with AAA discount. We wanted to do Fort Wilderness Villas, but no AAA discount available.

Buzz Lightyear will be closed Jan. 4th - Feb. 8th. I'm really bummed out about that too.

Test Track will be closed Jan. 9th - Feb. 14th

Splash Mountain will also be closed Jan. 23rd - Jan 27th

We'll be there! I'm heading down to Lotusphere and will be staying at the BC. Kids have school holidays the Fri/Mon after my conference, so the wife and kids will fly down and join me the Thursday the conference ends for an extended weekend trip. Just joined DVC, so we'll be staying at the BCV.

Looking forward to some milder (not "Africa hot") weather and hopefully smaller crowds (at least what we see when we go in the summer).

Buzz Lightyear will be closed? Oh no! The boys will be crushed ...

We went down for Lotusphere several years ago. Do they still take over MGM for a night and have all that free food & the fireworks? That was so cool. Makes me kinda wish DH still did Lotus - LOL

Last year, it was Universal Studios (IoA). Officially, it won't be announced until closer to the conference, but rumors are pointing to MGM.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the nice 'perk' of our trip -- Expedition Everest will be up and running for DVC members the exact dates we'll be down there!!
