Ok, I tried to reserve a table for 4 adults and 1 infant....they only have tables of 6 available so no, they couldn't accomodate us. Then I said to the lady, what if I buy all 6 tickets? She said no. I then said you mean to tell me if I bought all 6 tickets and 2 people couldn't show up they would turn us away...and she told me she was just doing what her job description told her etc. Can anyone help me on this....I can't believe just because we are 4 plus an infant we can't go?

Also, does anyone know what time the breakfast, lunch dinner are at. Nowhere can i find a start time for them. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this for a specific character breakfast, or ANY? Are you flexible with time or do you require one specific time? Have you looked at the posted menus on the DIS? They list meal times for every restaurant. Here's a link for all character meals: http://www.wdwinfo.com/Just_for_kids/character_dining.cfm

You didn't mention when you are going - that could have a LOT to do with it too.

I am going ot check out your link you sent. We are kind of on a schedule...Naptime is usually 1 to 3. So I was thinking a breakfast at the Crystal Palace or the Ohana(since we are staying at the Poly.) My daughter loves the Tigger and Pooh show so I thought the other one might be more fun for her. We are going from 11/30 to 12/7.

Oh, that helped...but maybe I am not awake tonight...when it says from 8:05 am to 11:30....when I amke a reservation, do they give me an arrival time or do we go whenever??? or are we there from start to finish....I don't think I can eat that much.

My question, is if they only have a table for 6 and I buy all 6 tickets, they won't kick us out because 6 people didn't show up will they?

Hi - just to clarify, you don't "buy tickets" for ADR's, you are given a time (like a reservation) to be seated at the first available table for your party size. That is why you need to tell the CM how many are in your party. Your meal usually takes anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on how busy the restaurant is (sit-down), rotation of the characters, and/or how many times you visit the buffet.

HTH!

When you make a reservation they will give you a specific time to arrive. Once you arrive you will be given the next available table for a party your size.

When you make a reservation you are not "buying tickets" you are just reserving a table. Unless you are talking about CRT, PSB or something similar. I'm not exactly sure what they would do if you made a reservation for 6 and only showed up with 5.

Oh, I thought these had to be pre-paid. It was odd when I called because they kept telling me they only had tables for 6 people left and I asked so if there are only 4 and 1 infant we can't sit there and her response was no, we can't seat 2 strangers at your table. Does this seem odd to you? Did I get a newbie on the phone? I will probably call back again tomorrow????

I think we posted at the same time!

You probably did get a newbie...or someone who is just trying to do what they're told. When I worked CRO, I was also trained in dining and got their overflow. When you pull up the place/date/time, it shows you the 'table tops' that are available and next to it, how many may be seated at that table. They (Disney) also tell you that they really don't want you seating a party of 2 or 3 at a table for 6 or 8. However, as tables start to fill, you can seat a party of 4 at a 6 top or 2 at a 4 top (you get the idea), but you should always fill up the tables available for the specific party, first. They may have changed the rules since I worked there (has been 3yrs) or you may have had someone who misunderstood what they were told. As with many call centers, call back, try again and you'll probably get a different answer. When I worked there Crystal Palace was a VERY popular place to book and filled quickly. :)
