I just watched what I thought was a stupid commercial.... then ABC called it a micro mini series. I don't watch much ABC.... is this something new ?

I saw something during My Wife & Kids . Did it have some hairy guy who forgot to make dinner for his date?

What was that about?

i think i saw that commercial with the hairy guy as i was flipping through the channels...i think it was....today. i flipped past it after about 3 seconds. lol

I think it is an experimental commercial thing, like the "miniseries" of Folgers coffee commercials a few years ago that left you wondering if the couple would ever get together. I read a "blurb" about it on the ABC site. Only it tells the story over the course of one evening, like some of the Super Bowl commercials.

'Micro-Minis' Set for ABC Lineup

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter, 6/7/04) – ABC is debuting its "Micro-Mini Series," four short films set to air during the network's Monday night comedy block. The three-minute interstitials, slated for June 28 and July 12 and 19, come from participants in the network's diversity-oriented talent development programs for actors, directors and writers. The "Micro-Minis," which also will be featured on ABC.com, are: "Not Now, Kitty," about a cat who becomes a woman; "I Didn't Really Wet My Pants," about a blind date gone horribly wrong; "Mosquito Cupid," an offbeat love story featuring a matchmaking mosquito; and "Dirty and Dirtierer," the story of a man whose dream girl makes an appearance at his filthy apartment.

TBS is doing the same thing with "The Grid", only they refer to it as limited run.

Actually, The Grid is a mini series, similar to The Shield - 8 one hour episodes - or at least something close. These micro-mini's are shown during a commercial break.... only last about a minute or so.

I only watch the news on ABC and that is it so I thought it was a regular show.
