About 6 weeks ago I whacked the crap out of my little toe. It turned all black and is now really loose in the nail bed.

I am a BIG BABY who wants to find a painless way to speed up the falling off process.

Help! :crazy2:

Awwww! No ideas, but hoping that someone here can help1 I am a big old baby too if I can get away with it!

Oh dear :( I really have no idea what to suggest - it will fall off eventually, but you'll have to give it time, I guess. In the mean time, perhaps bandaging it would help? It would stop it snagging and causing pain - it would also reassure you and make it all seem that little bit less horrific.

Hope you feel better soon :)

I don't know now that time has passed.

DH always drills a nail when he hits that hard to release the pressure? blood? something. I don't know if that is good or not but it always helps him.

research this first before trying because I am not a doctor but I did stay in a bed last night....

soak your toe in vinegar. I know it helps for killing funguses (and it removes the toe nail too).

Yikes, I don't know what you can do to speed it up.
I don't think that was gross enough for the thread to be deleted though, thank goodness! :)

I would try medicinal peroxide (from the drug store) Saturate the toe to kill any bugs and it should dry out the nail bed. Polysporin should help heal any raw spots. Keep it clean and dry. I WOULDN'T use vinegar. It will sting like hell. You need peroxide to kill the bugs and clean the wound.
