If I walk from BCV to EPCOT I was told it is a 5 minute walk, would I have to enter EPCOT to catch the monorail to MK? What resorts can you access MK via boat other than the obvious (GF,POLY,CR/BLT & WL). Just trying to not rent a car and use WDW buses as little as possible any tricks would be apprciatted.

Walking or taking FriendShip from BCV to Epcot will have you enter Epcot at the International Gateway ( located between France & Great Britain ) so you will need to have a park hopper or annual pass if you are going on to MK from there - - after entering at IG shortest walk around World Showcase will be past Great Britain & Canada into Future World ('front' of Epcot ) past Spaceship Earth exiting through main entrance to monorail which will take you to Ticket & Transportation Center where you'd cross the platform to MK monorail.

Fort Wilderness Resort has boat to MK as does Grand Floridian, Polynesian & WL/VWL. But Contemporary/BLT does NOT have boat to MK - transportation to/from MK is via monorail or on foot but Contemporary/BLT does have boat to/from WL/VWL & Fort Wilderness Resort.

Hope this helped some :goodvibes

We love the BCV and BWV area. Yes you are only 5 maybe 10 minutes from EPCOT if you stay at BCV, but be sure to take the short cut;). You can also walk to Hollywood Studios but it is a at least a 1/2hr walk from BCV. BWV is much closer to HS but the walk feels very isolated from HS back to the resorts . Boats take you to both and it is no more than a 10 minute ride. The ride on the bus to Magic Kingdom is not that bad. Animal Kingdom is so far away from all resorts except AKV.

It may be a five minute walk from BCV to Epcot, but the rest of the trip is going to take you about an hour, and will require you to have a park-hopper ticket.

If you're not in a hurry and you've got the hoppers, it's fun to take the 'scenic route'. But on a typically hot and sweaty FL day, give me a 15 minute air-conditioned bus ride to MK over an hour long, mile long, slog through Epcot to the monorail. :)

I wouldn't go through epcot to get a monorail to the magic kingdom...it'd be quicker to take a bus from your resort.

no clue what I am looking at here??

Someone walking through the woods, walking across the water while fighting the alligators and then coming in the back door at Soarin'.
