DH had a crummy day at work. I had planned to take my older son to the mall after dinner to get some shoes and get a slice of cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. So I ask DH if a peice of cheesecake would make him feel better. He says, "no it would just make me fat." So I say, "What about an apple dumpling?" (he commented on those last time we were there). Again, he says, "no that would make me fat." OK.
So DS and I go to the mall, get the shoes and pick out a slice of cheesecake. We brought it home to eat. DH sees it and gets mad because I didn't get any for him!
He claims that since I didn't specifically say I was getting cheesecake that his "no" from before isn't valid. That I should have gotten him cheesecake anyway since I got some. I say that since he said "no" twice I was well within my right not to purchase any for him.
I did give him a couple of bites of my cheesecake, BTW.

My husband does that to me all the time! "Do you want me to bring you back anything?"
