OK, dh and I have had this discussion already. Including the FAT thing. He is trying to lose weight.

The deal is you ring the other on the cell to double check before buying! Esp. dessert! I give him a 'last chance' 'cause he is not getting MY dessert.

That could have been part of it--he was ok not having any until he actually saw it. Personally, I don't like cheesecake, so someone could eat it in front of me until the cows come home and I'd be fine, but if they were eating key lime pie, it would be torture.

Beth, I'm sure that you can think of some way to make it up to him.

I'm on your side! Did he think you just had cheesecake sitting around somewhere?! that you were going to just get up and make him a cheesecake? Obviously, you'd have to go out and get it! He had no place being mad at you for not getting him some cheesecake. He can only blaim himself for saying No.

You'd think he'd be happy that you listened and stuck with his answer (Yes, I speak from experience .)

This is exactly what I would have told my dh also in a situation like that! Of course, he'd have never turned down the Cheesecake Factory for any reason.
