Ok Ok. I am going to Disney. But what is it about Disney that is so Great to you?

To me.... It really is the happiest place on earth! I just feel great when I'm there. I LOVE the rides there. I'm not one for amusement parks, fairs etc but I love Disney.
It is CLEAN!!! People are usually friendly, I love that you can go to the different themed parks. Love the monorail. I haven't stayed in the resorts in years but we are going in Nov and are staying at AK and YC. I just know I'm going to love it.
Another thing I love is knowing what to expect when I go there.
So many vacations we take I wonder about the rooms, the service etc. I just don't with WDW. Now... I know they have gone a little down hill from what they were but they are still way above the rest in my opinion.
I could go on and on but more folks will be by to share!!!:)

WDW is... a place where adults can live out their childhood memories, children can live their dreams and fantasies, and people of all types are in one place for the same reason- to FEEL the Disney magic.

Everyone is a kid at disney and my DH and I LOVE that. The people that don't have a good time are those who don't let that inner-child run free.

I guess I could go on for hours what it is I like about Disney, and I love more than just the parks. The Animation is what started it all and I love animation. However, to me one of the greatest things about a Disney World Vacation is that it is so hassle free. Everything is provided for you to make your trip easey and carefree. A case in point: You can have purchases you make at the parks delivered to you Disney Resort free of charge so you don't have to lug them around all day. They don't charge for this. You can also have items you purchase that might be difficult to take home shipped to your home for a fee. If you don't like driving around unfamilar areas in Florida like me, then don't, the Disney Transportation takes care of everything for you. All you have do is think about having fun! Now I've been to Disney going on 6 times and you might think I would be kind of board with all the parks. I mean how many times can you ride the same ride right? Well the truth is there is always so many new things to explore each year that I rarely go on the same ride twice unless it's my favorite. My biggest thrill so far has been the creation of the Animal Kingom Lodge Resort. This is Disney at its best. I love animals as most people do, and to have your own Safari of Animals right outside your balcony, I don't think it gets any better than that. Disney World is a clean, wholesome, fun, get away from your everyday life. You can count on it to always be a wonderful place to visit that is waiting for you return and welcoming you back.

The "little things" make Disney special. The sights - e.g. the lights on the sidewalk at night in Epcot, the sounds- try watching wishes without hearing grown men swallowing back tears, the smells - apple pie at Philarmagic. No other place on earth (certainly no theme park) pays attention to detail like Disney. I suggest that everyone at Disney give themselves a few minutes quiet time each day to soak in the atmosphere - don't rush from ride to ride all day, take time to enjoy just being there.

Disney girl 1---I have made over 30 trips to WDW and never get board with it.

I guess what I like most about it is the fact that I can escape from every stress in the world for a little while. I can look at beautiful flowers, buildings or people watch for hours and never be bothered. I can golf go swimming or just enjoy the patio at one of the DVC resorts.
Its just so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!

My son's smile when he first sees the WDW signs as we approach plus ALL the excitement he has throughout our stay.
And his constant asking to go back to see Mickey once we return home.

Counting down...next trip in 4 days!
Crossing my fingers....make hurricane Frances GO AWAY!!!

It's the only place we've been on vacation where our faces hurt from smiling at the end of the day:teeth:

For all the reasons that everyone else gave.

We are a married couple in our 30's with no children. We aren't the lay on the beach type (which is fine for a day or two)

Many of our friends wonder why we go regularly, but that is because they have never been to enjoy it. They have a preconceived notion that it is just for kids which is far from the truth. It's a vacation that let's us be us. We have theme parks or elegant adult nightlife. Disney gives us the complete package to let loose and enjoy ourselves.

I'm such a baby...crying from this thread...LOL
It's a hard thing to explain until you truly experience it. When I was young I used to go to DisneyLand quite a bit (about 10 times in 5 yrs) and it was great...of course!
Then...March of last year...I went to work at The Disney Store..and I saw the awe all of those cast members had about their job...and their love for the Mouse. It rubbed off on me...and I had booked my 1st trip to WDW by July and went! It was absolutely amazing...just the atmosphere...seeing your kids see Disney, and being a kid again. At work, we could all get teary talking about our experiences, how much 1 loved Cinderella, acted like a kid when she met her outside the castle, another person talked about Mickey like he was her best friend. Sounds crazy to 'outsiders'..but when it's IN YOU, you get it!
I wish you the best Disney Magic and Pixie Dust imagineable!!!
I'm planning my 3rd WDW trip now...just can't seem to wait a whole yr between each one! These boards keep me smiling til then :)

I love the architecture, the pools, the decor. Sights and sounds.

We don't go for the food.

The rides are fun, but they are secondary.

We spend a lot of time relaxing at the resort, preferably BC.

There really isn't a way to explain it exactly. I have never seen my kids smile like they do there. You feel safe, worry free, you forget what else is going on in your life.... The goose pimples on your arms when you're planning a trip, the tears you've got to hold back when you know you're walking out of the Magic Kingdom for the last time for quite a while.... It's all very silly to people who haven't gone - but you'll see! I remember when I was a kid, all the family vacation 'fights'. Seems like we couldn't go on any vacation without aguments. But Disney was different. Everyone was happy, no fighting, close family feelings. Well - it's priceless. But you have to be willing to let go - you have to be willing to NOT worry about getting your "moneys worth" by riding every ride available at every moment of the trip! Your money's worth is well earned the moment you enter the park!
