You know, FtW has probably been paid for at least 6 times over since it originally opened in '71!
To justify $100/nite they should be totally refurbishing every loop (instead of just clearing the brush and planting a few magnolia bushes) making each site long enough & wide enough to accomodate large MH's with slides and awnings and have Wi-Fi and CaTV available at each site. Crap, even Motel 6 gives you WiFi & Cable for only $40 bucks a nite! When you really take a close look at the partial hook-up sites, most of them have only enough room for one cabin tent & a screen room, and no place for kids to play.
Now that all the undergrowth has been cleared out, you really see how pitiful the campground is. At least before the clearing, FtW had personality. Now it looks long overdue for an over-haul. They also could use a food court at the Fort, and a decent pool and spa.
I think each of us needs to voice our opinion directly to Disney. I know I am going to.

Who knows if it'll do any good?
But at least we can say we tried.

for us that remember
for our up coming trip we will be under the new pricing policies and getting into FW on 12/16 and leaving on 1/26 and our total bill with all taxes, etc. comes to ~2600. Now add $200 for the dogs for 40 days and that brings it up to 2800 or $70/nite. Not cheap by any means, but still affordable and what you save on those meals you eat at your site really cuts that cost down a lot. Just breakfast can save $10/person so for a family of say 4 the cost for that day is now down to $30 not including the probably $5 in food for the breakfast. For us we never eat more than one meal in a park/resort and then only about every 3 days unless it's like a lite breakfast in France at the bakery or quick bite at a CS. Thus this time for the two of us and 40 days, we will be eating out for like 12 meals none being breakfast so that means we will be eating back at the site in excess of 100 meals.
