I stood in line for Lily's race to the top of the sand castle game forever. I forgot I was even in line until I heard the effects start for the room. So finally I made it to the game. We had a three-way tie and I was one of them, so the three of us had to race again. (Why should couldn't have just given it to all of us I don't know.) We raced again and I swear I won. I know I made it back to my seat before this other girl by about a half a second, and I don't think I fell off. But Lily gave it to the other girl! I don't mind losing if I really lose but I don't think I did! I said I thought I won, but she never responded, so finally I left.

I understand how you feel completely. Today, I went to get in line for the game, and the minute it was my turn to race Lily dc'ed. It really does make you angry, sometimes.

On the good side, I got into Hula's Beach Party and had lots of fun there.

But honestly, I think the rules on the wall only said the first to make it to the top and then back to their chair without falling off would win?

How do you even get into those staff rooms?...I've wasted MANY hours clicking and clicking and clicking just to try to get into the queue....only ONCE did I make it into the queue and with 22 ppl to go I got dc

No trick. I don't even try very often, only if it's a game or a quest. And I don't try very much. If I can't get in after maybe 10 tries, I give up for a while. What I've found is that it's much easier to get in the queue in the last 30 minutes or so of the time that the room will be open. One time for Hula's Christmas in July, I didn't get home from work until it was almost closed. I got in the queue with a couple of minutes to go, but I figured I'd just stay in line and see what happened, because I really love the Christmas stuff and the only stuff I have is what I've gotten from her rooms. So about 15 minutes after the room closed I got in and Hula said she was going to give the fireplace to us. She's so nice. I mean, come on, it's only a game. It doen't cost them anything to make people happy and give a little more away.

That's what kind of got me with Lily. It seemed like she could have just given it to all three of us the first time around. What would she lose?

But anyway, my advice is to try toward the end of the time. You might have better luck than trying right away. Good luck!

I agree the rules are not clear. Yes, you have to sit in the seat but you want to make it as brief as possible going up the hill.

I don't really like these racing games where there is the chance of you "falling" off, because I will. They make the course so you can't really tell wheither it is part of the hill or "ditch" I guess you would call it.

In the past if I stayed connected long enough to play, if I fall off I just gave up; but for some reason I hopped back on the hill the other day and continued to play. Like I said I came in last but no one else "hit all the spots" according to host_lilly.

Click and click and click and click is what I do too.

I don't even try it the first hour the staff game is being played. I have had better luck getting in the queue waiting until an hour to 90 minutes before they close the staff game.

The other night in Host_Hula's room we were the last group to get in the door right at closing and Hula just gave everyone (3-4 people) a pin and closed the game.

I had something similar happen to me and I was pretty angry about it. My son's computer is very fast and I did a race to the chairs game. The start words came on my screen and I clicked. I won by a large margin but others said I cheated so we had to redo the race. I then lost on purpose because I didn't think it was worth being called a cheater and possibly being banned over. I haven't played a host race game since then.

On the other hand, I now give the hosts a lot of credit for running the games as well as they do. I have a game room with one of my characters and it is exhausting to run it. I pay close attention to the game but I still miss spins or forget spins of the generators. My game can't have a three way tie but usually if I mess up, I still give the person prizes. I also give prizes if I notice a person has tried the game multiple times but hasn't won. What can I say? I like to have happy players! Based on that, I probably would have given all three of you prizes if I had been hosting the game.
