Nicholas Cage to play Liberace in new biopic

Washington, July 28 (ANI): After 'Leaving Las Vegas' in 1995, actor Nicholas Cage is all set to return to America's gambling capital in a new biopic about the life of famed pianist Liberace.
And, the actor will not only be starring in the movie, based on a script by Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg, but will be playing a behind-the-scenes role as well - that of producer. Cage is producing the project via his Saturn Films production company, reports TMZ.com.
And though Friedberg and Seltzer are best known for the meg-hit "Scary Movie" series, Liberace's life will be portrayed on a more serious note.
While no studio is attached to the project as yet, Cage is said to be meeting with directors in the weeks to come, for he is said to be eager to start filming for the movie by October this year.
The movie will focus on the pianist's double life of a successful performer on one hand, and his secret homosexual lifestyle on the other. (ANI)
