Ok Ladies-SPANX-Worth the $$$$$$????

I have seen these things talked about on TV, however there are no stores in the area that I live that sell them. The ladies on TV all make them sound wonderful! Anyone bought and tried them?

I think I am most interested in the Mid Thigh Smoother ones that are $58 However, reading the description it mentions that to prevent the 'uni-butt', it has something built in called 'The Great Divide' which is a subtle butt seperator. At this point, I think the uni-butt sounds better!! Anyone have any personal experience on SPANX in general before I bite the bullet and order sight unseen? Thank girls.

I love Spanx and wear them all the time. I have about 5 pair that have lasted me through the last two summers. I will probably have to replace them next year. (I don't use them in the winter.)

In the past, I've bought them at Lord & Taylor when they have coupons. You can get 15 or 20% off that way.

I also have read that the maker of Spanx is selling a cheaper version at Target. They get good reviews although they are not as durable as the regular version. I can't remember the name of them but I'm sure you could find them easy enough.

One last bit of advise....I carry most of my weight in my butt & thighs. I originally ordered based on the weight charts online. They were too small for me and I had to exchange for the next size up.

I have the Spanx higher power. It is a bicycle shorts style girdle that goes all the way up to underneath the bra line. I am apple shaped, and this panty makes a huge difference. It was pricey (around $35 IIRC) but has held up well for over a year. It never rolls or shifts like other girdles do. I would buy it again.

I have never tried them but I know they sell them on QVC. They have a 30 day money back policy. You can try them out for 30 days and if you decide you don't like them you can send them back - no questions asked.

Can you tell I shop at QVC alot....

Lane Bryant carries them if there is one by you. I've seen them before and reluctant to buy because I can't imagine holding everything in..and not spilling out over the top!! everytime I try something to suck my tummy in, out it comes over the top! I don't think I would buy them unless I could try them out first. Let us know if you buy them!

I'm curious...you say they are supportive, but not to be too personal, would they work for someone with say larger girls....like maybe 34/36 D cup?

The ones at Target are called Assets, and they are made by Spanx. The range in price from $10-$15. I think there are only 3 different styles. I used the pantyhose and the underwear style. I was pretty happy with both.

I love the "Higher Power", but now that I have had a baby, I have to get my husband to tug them up in the back for me so they don't squeeze up a roll of back fat between my bra and the waist band. I am long waisted and can't get them high enough on my own. They do have a "gusset" so once they are up they don't have to come down, but that is tricky. . . The Target Spanx are called Assets and don't have the "gusset" so I don't like those as well. (ps. . . how do you lose back fat?????)

Yes, I think that they are. I hate spending $$ for things like that, but I bought the Higher Power version and it does the trick.

Thank God for Spanx!!! I love them!!! Check out QVC because sometimes they have special deals on sets (that's how I got mine). I have the Higher Power. I don't go out any where special without them! We had a wedding a few weeks ago and my girlfriends and I laughed because we all had them on. They will take like 5 pounds off you!!! I like them with dresses or pants and a loose top. With tighter knit tops sometimes you will get the "back Fat". Go for it!!! Nordstroms carries them too.

I use spanx, the tight end. They are like opaque hose that go to the mid calf. I wear capris alot and these are perfect. I am a 14 (But tall) and it slims me down to a 12. I really love them. I feel naked without.

I picked them at at Saks off 5th Ave (outlet) for about 11 a pair. They had about 10 pairs and I bought them all.

I love the way they shrink my thighs and firm up my butt. And surprisingly, they are comfortable. Worth every penny!

I've tried the generic brands and I didn't enjoy them as much. Spanx make my behind look 10 years younger. They are amazing!!!

I guess it sounds like everyone who has tried them really likes them. Everyone keeps mentioning the stores that they have bought them from, but so far not a store that is near me. I think I will check out QVC and see if I can get a deal, otherwise I will have to find a place to order them online.

I don't have the belly/back fat, just the thighs that I would like to squish into submission!
