OK, I've got the ticker....Poly in August!!!

I love your Dory Bag... :goodvibes

Now there is a Sheila that knows that fish are friends not food...;)

The crossbody is cute too...;)

Does anyone know....Do they still have the regular Wishes on non MNSSHP nights? Thinking of trying to get a Dessert Party. I was thinking we would do that on a non-party night and then watch Hallowishes from the Poly beach another night. Just wondering if it is a special show just for party nights???

Right, but do they do regular wishes on non party nights? Or is it always Hallowishes this time of year? Sorry, I guess I didnt ask it right...my mind knows what I meant but no one else does :-P

When we were there in October of last year Hallowishes was only on party nights. Non-party nights it was just the regular Wishes. Hope this helps.

Hi! I'm a little late...but I can't wait to read all about your plans!:thumbsup2

Welcome Angie! Good to see you here :goodvibes Things are moving kinda slow right now and it is driving me CRAZY! I am waiting to hear from our friends if they are going, and now my DH is insisting that he doesn't want to go! I honestly don't care who goes at this point....just want to start planning. I know Bradey and I will be there...just not sure who else and that means I can't plan hotels, meals, anything for now. :headache:

But welcome along anyway....we will get this thing rolling soon, I promise!

He doesn't want to go?!

On party nights, it is Hallowishes only. On "non-party" nights, you get Wishes only.

He doesn't want to go?!

Nope. He doesn't like Disney. The only reason he kinda sorta wanted to go at first was because he wanted to hang out with his friend who may be going with us. But he is just so uptight about money. Yes, Disney costs alot of money...I get that. But the way I look at it is....our little guy is only little once. We will get a bunch back in Feb from taxes...I like to use some of that for a good vacation every year. Hubby thinks we should take it to pay off some debt. We will always have debt. We will not always have our little guy. Have you ever heard someone laying on their death bed wishing they had more money?? No. You hear them wishing they had done more things, spent more time with family, etc, etc, etc. So, I am taking my little guy and if DH decides to grace us with his presence, so be it. We book room-only instead of a package deal, so it doesn't matter who ends up going. We can buy his park tickets last minute if we have to. The only thing I need to know for sure about is the flights and we can't book those yet anyway. Phew....breathe in...breathe out. I'm a little worked up about this because I just get so annoyed with him when he doesn't want to go on vacations with us. It is kind of an ongoing thing in this household. His family never took vacations growing up and mine did....so this is a constant problem with us. But we will make it through. I just probably won't bring it up again until I have the money saved ::yes::

Okay, cool....thanks Kathy. That's what I needed to know. Now I can continue my planning :hyper:

Aw.:(. Maybe hell come around!

DH has some things his family never did, that he doesnt always get.that I do.:) Not vacations, thankfully.

IS there Hallowishes Dessert party???
:faint:

I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I thought I had seen that they didn't have the dessert party on party nights. But that was for Christmas party, so it might be different for MNSSHP. But I wouldn't want to do the dessert party those nights because you are there for an hour before the show eating, you would miss the parade and miss lots of party time.

My plan is to do the dessert party to watch Wishes and be out of the crowd. Then on our MNSSHP night, we will stay for the parade then head over to the Poly to watch Hallowishes from the beach. I haven't looked into this yet....not sure how much time is between the parade and fireworks, so it might not be doable, but we will see.

So, this afternoon I was talking with my friend Val. She is the one that might be going with us. I told her that Bill and I had been fighting over money and that he didn't want to go. She said her hubby was doing the same thing! This made me feel soooo much better for some reason. So she is still fully planning on going. We decided that we would just not talk to our DHs about this until we have all our money saved up.

So it looks like the planning is back on and now I can get this thing booked. With a room-only reservation, you only have to put one night down and then you can pay off the rest at checkin if you want. I usually pay a little every couple months, but just knowing that I don't have to have it paid off until we get there helps with the saving.

Val and I were throwing around kids costume ideas and she is definitely on board with a theme for all of us. I know the guys won't dress up, but at least we can with the kids. We have my Bradey (will be 7 then), her Hannah (6) and her Ethan (4). I thought maybe Hannah and Bradey could be Jasmine and Aladdin, and Ethan could be Aboo. Wouldn't that be cute?? Or even better would be Bell and the Beast with Ethan being Chip. That way there are more characters for Val and I. Or if we could possibly get the guys to cooperate....we would have 7 of us....the Dwarfs???? Fun fun fun!

Okay, going to book the room now :hyper:

I totally get what you are saying, and I agree completely. I will say that I didn't always think this way until recently... But more than ever - now I realized what I have missed and I am kicking myself for all those memories that we don't have. You can bet we are making them now though.

Josh doesn't have too much of an issue with the money spent - as long is it comes from funds not associated with our monthly budget (ahem, sewing funds) and as long as I am getting the best possible deals that I can - which I always do anyways. The only reason Josh doesn't travel with us is because he can't handle the crowds - if by some reason he ever decides he would like to go again, I will be getting him a GAC card - it will make all of our lives a little more bearable.

This sounds so cute!!! I love all of your ideas!

Soooo... What are your exact dates now? Honestly, I am trying for the 11-20th.

D~

Well, I went in and changed my ticker to reflect the new dates. Originally I wanted to do Wed-Wed because it was cheaper and the crowds were lower, but Bill said he would have to take an extra vacation day if we did it that way. He gets shafted with vacation because he usually works about 70 hours a week and only gets a 40 hour vacation week :confused3 So we hate to take vacation days.

So....I have switched to Sat-Sat the 12-19th. So we will be there more with you D :yay: I know the flights will be more expensive, but we have plenty of time to save and I am just racking up the frequent flyer points, so maybe it will be fine.

BTW....so excited for your Crazy Days D~!

That is so awesome Suzi!!! I am glad you will be there more with us and Oopsi! :cool1:

I keep going round and round about resort choices... I think that in the end, we will end up at FQ no matter what... It just boils down to how much we love it there, and I just can't imagine spending twice as much (after a code) at the other place, when we are perfectly happy and in love with FQ. :confused3

I plan on booking our trip just as soon as Crazy Days is over... and let me tell you - it will be crazy! :crazy2: I hope everyone likes the themes I picked. :upsidedow

D~

The new dates sound great...and you'll get to spend time with some DISer's. :goodvibes

I think your dates are spectacular....I might be a little partial since I will most likely be there Sun-Friday the 13th-18th. YAY...I am so excited!!!
