Ok, I'm confused now...

Do you plan to do the park on the day there are EMH or NOT do the park that has EMH that day? I feel totally confused right now.......

People do it either way. Are you talking about morning emh? Some people are there early and get a lot of rides done in the first hour and stay til it gets really crowded. Others avoid the park all together b/c they figure everyone is going to be going to that park.

I would say if you are not going to be there the moment they let people in for EMH in the morning, then go to a different park. My bf and I are not early risers and we tried doing morning EMH's and always end up arriving like 45 mins late and the park is PACKED!

The UG suggests skipping EMH due to crowding. If you really want to go the book also suggests being there at opening of EMH and touring till around 11 and than hop over to another park.


DH & I are not going to do the EMH in the a.m. but are going to try the night EMH at MK.

I AVOID EMH days!!! People FLOCK to the park with EMH!!! Well, obviously NOT DIS people!!

example: we were at MK one evening and just finished dinner at LTT, it was POURING so we decided we had had enough and were going back to the resort ... well HUNDREDS of people were just coming into the park for EMH ... HUNDREDS!!! That did it for me!!!

You're going to have to expalin that.

Why does Morning EMH only "remotely help" only at MK?

Do you not want to ride EE, Safari, Dinosaur, and ITtbaB at DAK?
Do you not want to ride Soarin', Test Track, Space Ship Earth or M:S at EC?
Do you not want to ride ToT, RnRC, or Star Tours at the Studios?

I avoid EMH too. There is something else I do with EMH to avoid crowds. When figuring out which park to go to, I look to see which one had EMH the night before. Since a crowd was just there the night before, its unlikely that those people will go again the next day. So that usually ends up being the least crowded park the next morning.

UG says a good strategy is to go to the park that had EMH Evening hours the night before. Theory is that so many people go to that that they are 1) Sleeping late because they were up late, or 2) Will choose a different park the next day leaving the park that had Evening EMH less crowded.

We always go to Disney World during the off season, and we do go to EMH at the parks. (Well, we've only done them at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.) But it has always worked for us.

Last year at EPCOT morning EMH, we got all the big things done, (MS twice, TT twice and Soarin') so we did the rest of the day at a leisurely pace. And same with Magic Kingdom morning EMH. We did Fantasyland before the crowds came.

We did Magic Kingdom nighttime EMH last year and it was great! We almost got scared away by the bracelet lines, but I am glad we didn't. After 10:00, the park was empty and we did whatever we wanted. And it was much cooler.

I just thought I'd share a different opinion. I'm sure your experience varies according to when you go to WDW. I imagine during peak season, EMH is ALOT more crowded.
