OK I'll Start It!! NYE Party @ SSR! Who Else?

This will be our 4th NYE at SSR

Every year the Recreation Staff has put on a great party at Congress Park and PI has an Awesome Fireworks Display.

Who plans on spending NYE 2007 at SSR and taking part of the festivities

And who's bringing the margarita's?

.. my first NYE in Disney...can't wait!?!

What's it like?

I wasn't planning on doing the parks on NYE b/c I assumed it'd be too crowded ... hoping to hang around SSR all day/night. I requested CP... I hope it comes through!!!

Anyone who's been there (SSR) on NYE, please tell me what it's like. I will have my DH, and my 2DS's (6 & 2 at that time). Will the kids be able to have fun at SSR during the NYE party? What goes on?

Count me in! It will be me, DH, DD11, DS10, DS4 and my mom and dad. We are so excited. Are there blenders in the 2bdrms? And does Garden Grocer have Margarita Mix?

OMG ! Lucy, you will be at SSR NYE? WaHOOO, we will finally be in the same place at the same time! We will be there, but i think LIFERBABE should make the margaritas since she does this as her moonlighting job......yummy! Ill bring some appertizers and margarita mix for LIFERBABE to make.

DW and I will be there for sure. Spend the day at AK (not busy at all as everyone is in the other parks waitin' for NYE) and then back to our home at SSR for a good time with all our SSR family and friends

Goldi, congress park is perfect. LIFERBABE will be staying at SSR, as for me i will be staying at BCV, but we will be at SSR for the party & fireworks.

Disneyfan2kids, the party is great for kids! My boys are 10 and 8 and there were plenty children of all ages to play with. They were swimming, playing on the playground, they had a DJ playing Disney music, hula hoops, noisemakers, lei's, hats and for the adults, a cash bar was set up. It really reminded me more of a DCL activity than anything we've done at WDW before. Oh they passed out popcorn, and played trivia too.

Hey, I made ressies for NYE just cuz folks here were talking it up last January. Taking my mohawk-toting dad (not sure how great the do will be though since it's winter time). We booked an accessible studio for 3 days, haven't requested a section yet though. But we already scoped out the best seats for the pool party.

Oh and count me in for the strawberry margueritas! They're my favorite.

Our only plans are to see the Osborne Lights while we're down. That was our favorite last December.

DW and I will be at SSR for the new year, our first at SSR. We arrive on 12/29 (our anniversary) and leave on 1/1.

Will be ar AKV dec 30th til jan 4th. First time for NY at disney.Please you veterans give me the low down on the options for that night. Special fireworks, partys, you guy know what I'm asking.
I will add that the reason we planed the trip was cause DS is in College Program and his last work day at Disney is the 4th and then we drive him home to Ohio. I guess all those DVC trips rubbed off on him.lol
