Ok, I messed up banking my points, ever any leeway?

another post regarding banked points...We are new members and we had to bank points for the first time at the end of this month, March. We had 70 points that we banked the other day. I was confused (obviously...) and I was under the impression that since our use year was October that we could still use the banked points in October 2002. I now realize that isn't true. Does DVC have an idiot rule and ever make exceptions to banking points, if so I will try to see if they have any openings this September when we already have plans to go

Sorry, But my understanding has been that they will make an exception for NOT banking points. This is a once in a lifetime super double secret, don't ask again, exception. However, once points are banked, they can not be repatrioted to your prior use year.

I will get straightened out on this but what years points did you bank into. It would seem to me that you banked Oct 2000 points into Oct 2001 use year? Is this correct? And you weren't planning to go again until October 02 or later which means those 70 points would have to been used up from Oct 01 to Sep 02. Just curious because banking can sometimes get confusing.
