General Star Wars Discussion

Did O'Reilly mention how many takes she had to do for the dance scene? She must have been exhausted!

She said when they first started rehearsing the dance that she wanted to see how long she could spin for without stopping and that she thought realistically that it would just be around a minute that she could go for but when she actually tried apparently she just kept going and going and then when she finally stopped she threw up.

I haven’t watched the behind the scenes videos on YouTube yet so idk if it’s been mentioned elsewhere already but the “shots” she was downing were Irn-Bru. I can’t remember if I’ve ever seen that soda in the US before when over there but British/Scottish people will know what I’m talking about haha

that is why ballet dancers spot their turns.

Loved that dance scene. That is something I have enjoyed about Star Wars, and especially Andor (and Rebels/Clone Wars) is finding out about aspects about all of the various cultures.

Yes, absolutely. I like to ice skate - totally amatuer, but I'm decent enough to spin a little. It absolutely helps to spot an object beforehand and focus on that. You won't get as dizzy. It might also work on Mission: SPACE. 🤣

Oh dear! I hope she was able to control her reactions better after the first time. Thanks for the info.

I watched the Rebels episode “Secret Cargo” which features Mon Mothma, to prepare for the next Andor arc. And man, those shows are like night and day as far as production and writing. 🤣 (I say this as someone who liked Rebels! But the difference between Mon’s speech at the end, and Luthen’s “what do I sacrifice?” monologue, is stark.)

BTW, if you get the New York Times, be sure to check out today's crossword puzzle. Yes, it is relevant to this thread. 😁

I haven't gone back to watch it but someone said to go review how Filoni writes dialogue for Mon Mothma in Ahsoka and how her dialogue is written in Andor. Night and day.

Awesome graphic! Watched her arc this morning, very good, well done. One of these days, I'll read Dark Disciple.
Her arc was so good, glad I avoided spoilers, I did read that one and it was fun.

I was hoping for a Voss-Ventress reunion, with the third episode but that would have been a bit obvious, but hopefully someday. Anyone know the kid?

Cad's arc was fun and sad all at the same time

I didn't recognize that Jedi padawan. Was very surprised of the ending, that he came back. I was just SOOOOOO happy to see Quinlan. For whatever reason, he's one of those more obscure characters I've always been intrigued by since legends, even though we know so little about him, maybe that's why. That was great. Cad Bane is a character I always thought was done very coolly, very interesting character....his arc was just plain depressing, like a lot of modern westerns....what a sad ending. But not badly done. I was glad for the little bit of origin story and character/world building.

it is hard watching this show knowing that most of the characters will dying sooner than later, If she stays there to continue to help the rebels, I dont think Vel will make it out of Ghorman

And vice versa. But that happens.
