OK, I guess I will start the Waiting for OCT-DEC AP rate thread

I have a question about AP rates. Do they ever come out with AP rates with blackout dates? I know that sometimes there won't be an AP rate for a certain month, but would they come out with a code for say, November "except the first week of Nov."? That's what I'm worried about because I know they did that for a postcard that my friend got!

I'm on hold also. They say delays will be long due to the weather and limited staffing.

I gave up also. If they had even planned for release of AP rates today, I'm sure they would have pulled them so they would not be swamped with calls especially with staff shortage.

We are waiting for Nov-dec ap rates. This is the first time we are trying for a ap discount. Keeping uor fingers crossed for everyone:Pinkbounc

Last year the dates around Thanksgiving were blacked out.

Nope, that is the watch thread was started :) Historically, or at least last year it was around the end of August they were released IF they release them, but pretty sure they will from the impression I have received from a few CM's.

Just keep watching the thread

I am not a AP holder, however I have thought about getting an AP if the price is right.. I am more looking for codes available to everyone.....

I'm not an AP holder - however, I booked a trip through my travel agent. When codes come out, can I give them to my agent to call WDW travel and also get the discount if applicable?

Because I made my reservations through an agent, the normal WDW reservationalists do not have me in their system.

My agent booked through WDW travel.

You can't use an AP code unless you have an AP. At check-in, you would have to show proof that you are an AP holder.

You ARE in their system, they can see that the reservation is owned by a travel agent, and they will tell you to talk directly to your agent.

Your agent can book the AP rates for you, you would just need to have the AP when you checkin.

I'm crossing my fingers, hoping that Disney will surprise us by releasing rates thru Dec. this Sunday!!:)

Sometimes wishes can come true...

the accuracy of this post depends on what is meant by "use." If you are trying to say you can't apply the discount without the AP in hand, then you are wrong because you can apply the discount to a reservation without an AP in hand. However, if you meant that one would have to produce an AP at check-in then you would be correct.

We were away last week and called daily to see if the AP rates were out. The September rates broke, but no luck for our 10/16 trip.

In the mail when we got back was a postcard with special rates. I called immediately. They offered me the VP suite at WL. That was the only thing they had at my resort.

I've been calling every other day since. As of last night, the only resorts they had left were AKL and CR tower for $1912 (7 nights). Not terrible, but still more than double want I'd like to pay for WL.

We have our airfare, AP's, all PS's, and MNSSP tickets. I have my heart set on WL and will have to adjust many PS's if we don't get a room there.

DH - who wisely lets me handle these things - has been asking since May if we were going to have a problem getting a good room rate. Sweetie, I think we're nearing the trouble zone.

I'm leaving for Bermuda on Sunday. I'm hoping my cell phone will work from there so I can check daily for AP rates. Actually, I'm hoping the rates will come out tomorrow so I don't have to worry about it! Hurricane Charlie and I both know that's not going to happen. Oh well, if they come out in the next week, someone save me a room!

Thinking happy thoughts for all of us! :daisy:

alexedan-thanks for checking

I have a good feeling about tomorrow (based on absolutely nothing, but that's okay)!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :) ::MinnieMo

We have our trip booked for October (23-1) ... I was thinking about getting PAP's and all that ... we are right on the boarderline between being worth it or not. However, it seams like these "discounted" rates for the rooms are really, really hard to get and stressfull too. Is it all realy worth it ???????
We really love Disnsy World and I love to save money ... planning a trip and paying for it is stressfull enough with out all this ...
