WOW! I missed checking the boards for a few days, so I was AMAZED to see AP rates out! I just booked 2 nights at WL Woods View (Dec. 6&7) for $270, and then two nights at the Poly Garden View (Dec. 10 & 11) for $466, which she told me is $209/nt +tax (That seems like a LOT of tax!) So excited! 99 days to go!

Yeah-those taxes are wicked-11.5%
So you #'s work out- 209 x 1.115 = 233.04
per night x 2 = 466.07

I think so!! I was given the same rate for AKL in November for a savannah view. 2 years ago we paid over $230 for AKL savannah view.

Me too, for Oct 21-24. I started on Tuesday, called every day for day by day changes, and finally got that rate for all four nights on Saturday. And I started out with CBR on AAA rate, trying to get WL which was sold out at AP rates. I think I am going to like the savannah view at the AKL better than WL, I just hope that DH does too. WL is really the only thing at WDW he has admitted to liking. But he LOVES animals, so I think this may win him over. But even at that great rate, I can't tell him how much it costs...he will probably think it is only about $100/night! Luckily with all of my changes and deposits transferred, it will come out as about $350 on this current statement, then whatever is left over at checkout! DON'T TELL HIM!!!

I think the rack rate is over $300/night, so the answer to your question is a big YES!!!

We got lagoon view at the GF for $310.00. Our dates are 11/25-11/28 and I called on 8/30.

Ever since the AP rates came out I have been calling and trying to get the standard sav. view for AKL for November. I had to change weekends since the weekend of Nov. 12-14 was blacked out. With persistance, I finally got the $151 AP rate for Nov. 19-21! Yippee! I was so excited as we have never stayed there and I have two little boys who love animals! So persistance and flexibility can pay off!

Kimlooman...you will be very glad you aren't going Nov. 12-14...it is blacked out because it is Super Soap Weekend at MGM Studios! I know because I go every year! It is a crazy weekend and hotels are pretty much sold out...
Glad that your persistance paid off! Haven't stayed there...but it looks great! We are staying at the Poly this time because we are going to MNSSHP and wanted to stay in a Monarail hotel...But next time I think we'll try AKL....Anxious to hear your report!

I got the AP rate for the Contemporary 10/29-11/2. The rate is $788 including tax for 4 nights.
So keep trying for the rates. They may become available weeks later like mine did.
