OK. I booked a 7 night waitlist at 7mos. Only last night avail. Is that night locked in?

Your waitlist must match 100% for it to match. So no, the last night is not locked in. That is why smaller wait lists match easier - fewer nights are required and are easier to match.

You can go in and book the last night yourself online to "lock" that night in.

No the whole waitlist has to come in if you haven't actually booked the last night. Bevause that last night could form another vacation either as a single night or part of different dates. If you wanted to lock it in you would need to book it but that would require spare points. You wouldn't want to cancel your 11 month reservation if you have ine for tyat night as what if it doesn't happen. If that makes sense.

Grand California? 7 months is difficult right now because D23 is July 14 to 16. I was able to book a 1 bedroom July 9 to 13, waitlisted a studio for those dates. Studios have been soldout July 12 through the weekend since 11 months. We have a regular hotel room booked at Paradise Pier July 13 to 16 for the D23 weekend.

GCV will be difficult. We were able to get a studio July 8-12 but I was up at 5:55 am MST to nab it day by day; well worth it but less than 10 minutes later, none were available. The one bedrooms showed available for a few days which was surprising.

Thank you @DebbieB for the D23 info. I had no idea but wondered why the weekend was booked already. Happy to pay those midweek points though.
