Ok guys...need some help here (If it wasnt obvious)

Hey everyone. As you may know, im like really OCD about my hair, and I plan on getting it cut a bit shorter for trying to get a job and such. But I would still like to keep it at a relitivly nice length and get that whole surfer/Rocker looks down (Ala Switchfoot). More recently I have parted my hair but im starting to revert back to having it a bit in my face too.

But I cant really decide on what would look right on my face. Ive got more of a roundish/plump face (I know i need to lose weight) so none of these will look PERFECT. Im asking here because all (Or most) or you are girls and really know good cosmetic-y stuff. Plus believe it or not, im trying to attract your side of the gender spectrum, so telling me what looks and what doesnt look good really helps. Ill throw a few shots up here of what I would like, as well as a picture of myself for comparison. Keep in mind, I definatly plan on Blonding it up come spring/summer.

Yeah that freakishly tall dude in the back is me. This was taken about a week ago, and as of right now, i just have a small amount of peach fuzz. Not the full on ginger thing I have there.


Ok and on to what I want. This one is really at the top of my list...its just got that whole Surfer/rocker thing down. The guy in the center-left with blond hair.

Next one is Owen Wilson. I dunno, I always thought he was a great actor, and i like his hair...god could I be any girlyier

Ha ha i feel so...odd posting this, but yeah...something around these lines would be nice to.

Cause the flicks and curls with Owen Wilson's, bleh.. I don't think they look that clean and all.
And the last one.

Does your hair naturally curl a little to one side like the guys in the picture? My hair now looks like a shorter version of the dude from Switchfoot, but mine naturally curls a little to the left... If yours does too, then it's not to hard to get and it looks pretty good. If not, then you'd have to curl it a little bit every day.

It does a little. Not a whole lot. This is an older shot of me(ONE THAT I HATE) but my hair actually wasnt terrible here, but I want to get something a bit more...edgey i guess.

I don't have any pictures of my hair, but I comb it straight and let it air dry, then kind of like flip it to the left side.. It sounds weird, but it's basically a shorter version of the Switchfoot dude.

Yeah it might help if I actually combed my hair for once. Im pretty sure I havnt combed it in about 7 years. The problem is that my hair is SO long once I comb it. Hence why it might be better to get it short and try to work from there.

Well, I love your hair from the older picture!

My suggestion? Go to the hair stylist with a picture of what you want. Then after you get it home, just comb is straight out and flip it. Like Fatphil said.

Yeah it does a little. See im thinking that but blonder and a bit shorter, like the dude in my Sig.

HA ha YES IT DOES NEED TO BE CUT! But yeah my hair does flip a bit out to the right (Left in the picture) i mean look at the bottom of my hair on that side, it curls...and ONLY on that side. But yeah i might run down there monday and ask them to do a little snip here and there and maybe blonde it up a little. My biggest concern is how it will look on my face, im mean...im not exactly the smallest dude around, and neither are my cheeks

Use that for motivation for maybe working out more or something. I use to be really chunky and I hated it. I started weight lifting and eating healthier a few years ago and now I'm in great shape and love it. Just needed some motivation..

Like Jenny said, bring ideas to the hairdresser.
It's best to ask someone who does it for a living what would look best on you. While they may be wrong sometimes, they're the ones who probably know the most.
The first idea-ish pic is the best. Switchfoot one.
