J.C. has a food fight at church tonight and we are going to buy food and I need some ideas.

He wants raw eggs, I said NO to that!! I was thinking Whipped Cream and Cheez Whiz????

Need some ideas!! This is at a church so I don't want anything that will stink or could hurt the kids.

Cooked spaghetti noodles - they have good air time and stick well.
(I've worked in a middle school lunchroom... )

Mashed potatoes, you could just buy a box of instant to make.
Pudding

Jelly. Wouldn't that be gross!

Marshmallows. They'll stick good in the cheese and whipped cream. :p

Flour.

cold oatmeal
yogurt/pudding (warm so it flys better)

cornflakes mixed with laundry detergent...oh wait...might not want to do that...hehehe (college incident)

nothing with tomatoe in it though - not only does it stain, it STINGS!

Gerber Peas and Squash - don't know what it is, but anytime I tried to feed that stuff to DS it always turned into a good food-fight. :p

Applesauce!
And definately - spaghetti. Squeeshing in your hands before you let it fly is particularly fun too

Mashed potatoes, peas, jello cubes and popcorn come to mind.

Jello and Cookie Dough were favorites in our house.

Give peace a chance! :bounce: ;)

Ummm...doughnut holes? Those are too good to waste, though...;);)

ETA: Wait a minute...your church has organized food fights? I've never heard of such a thing!

I'm loving the Marshmallows and Jelly!

I'm also cracking up thinking about peas and squash!

Flour is brilliant Maggie!!!!!

I won't have time to cook spaghetti noodels but that would have been fun.

Oh and let me also mention that its rainy here........not storming, no thunder or lightening so the rain is going to make it even messier!

I just had to inform him that there will be NO SARDINES!!!!!!!!!

Every time you post about your son, it cracks me up! A kid after my own heart!

I'll have to post wax museum pictures of him. Hes a nut! He has ""Dreams"" of being the next Adam Sandler (Scary isn't it!)

Yep our church has organized things for the youth. This month we have the food fight, a kidnapping water balloon fight (where you kidnap a friend from home and take him on the fight). We have a spend the night party not this Friday but next Friday night. They are going to six flags over St. Louis at the end of July. They go out to "lunch" every other Friday and have worship meetings with a fun theme every other Monday night. Oh I forgot Fear Factor, thats one Wednesday night this month too. They are a good group of kids and have a blast together.

The perfect food fight food: Mayo. Beyond that, some good projectiles would be cupcakes or muffins. You can put some force behind them and they explode on impact. If you bring a heavy dose of mayo and chocolate cupcakes you've got a leg up on everyone else.

WOW......... I must really be a "dinosaur" but after witnessing a food fight by the 7th graders in my school I must admit that I find the idea of a sanctioned "food fight" troubling. Where do you draw the line with this behavior being acceptable and unacceptable? What happens when some of these kids get into high school and decide that this would be a fun thing to do? I can think of so many other ways to have fun ...... JMHO

Our church feeds the hungry...not throws the food around..what kind of message does that send???

JMHO..not trying to start a debate.

LOL Beth, sounds like John Cole will have a blast!!

Oh and food ideas???? how about ice cream...let it melt a little? use a spoon to fling it across the room? :teeth:

Um our church feeds the hungry too, lighten up folks its FUN! I'm 32 and one of the best times I remember is a food fight we had at church camp when I was a teenager.

At least these kids are at church learning about God and living right, give them a little bit of confidence that they know better than to do this at school, oh and if not, OH WELL ITS FUN!!!!!!! Flame me if you want.

Oh and I had to add one more thing! Most church groups that I've ever heard of take the kids and the youth on retreats and camping etc. If we really want to argue thats money that could feed the hungry too.

I am just amazed at what people will fight about now days!

If my son grows up and decides in the 10th or 11th grade or heck even 7th to have a food fight at school then he will take the consequenses, clean it up, be suspended or what have you but I guarantee you it will be remembered as something fun 15 years down the road.
