Question, I want to go to o'hanas as it is a great place. Characters are me, 13yo ds and 14yo ds. 13yo would eat the butt off a running skunk however I am not so lucky with 14yo. Can I order off menu for 14yo and 13yo and I still enjoy regular o'hanas? And if so, do I pay for regular price for 13 yo plus his meal off menu or just the one price? It is not a money issue unless I have to pay for two different meals for one person. Make sense????

TIA

There is no regular menu at Ohana, just the family style meal that they serve. However, they do offer child meal alternatives(which they get from Kona Cafe) for the picky eaters. You may need to ask your waiter for that if they dont offer it to you. We have had 1 experience each way...once they offered it to us, and once we had to ask. While I dont have any first hand experience with a 14 year old, Im sure they wouldnt have a problem with it.

As for the price you definitely wont get charged for both the all you can eat price, plus the alternative meal. I know the first time we went our kids only got charged the price of a kids meal at Kona Cafe, not the full all you can eat price of Ohana. However, I have heard others report here they were charged the all you can eat price. I meant to check what we were charged the second time, but forgot to(too busy feeding my face, LOL). I guess it can go either way depending on what your server does.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the quick reply. Like I say, I have no problem paying the full price for the regular meal, I just didn't want to have to pay for both for one person!

You owe me a new monitor! Coffee everywhere :teeth:.

Exactly how picky is "picky"? THe food at 'Ohana is pretty plain in my book. It's basically grilled meats.

Sorry about that! My 14yo is not a big meat eater, more a macc and cheese and nugget/pizza kid. On the other hand.... like I say my 13yo is much easier to plan.

I think that 'Ohana should allow your 14 year old to order off the Children's Menu. Why don't you call them and ask? My 5 year old ate mac n cheese when we were there last. Unfortunatley, I don't know if we paid full 'Ohana price for her or the price of the the mac n cheese from the Kona Cafe.

You willl not have any problem getting your picky eater mac & cheese and nuggets. We got this exactly for my niece last year. You will most likely have to pay the adult price, and you never know they might like something from the lazy susan, but it's worth a shot to ask about a price reduction if they only eat the nuggets and mac & cheese. Have fun.
