Hi everyone!!! :teeth: We're going to WDW in March and after eating at O'hanas would you hop on the monarail from poly to mk to catch the fire works? Also do they start at park closing? Or can you see them from poly really well? We're staying at Beach club villas and aren't that familiar with WDW, it's our 2nd trip. Thanks!!!!! What would everyone else do??? :confused3

We were actually in Ohana when they started last time. It was awesome. They turned down the lights and piped in the music. You can also see them great from the Poly. That would be my vote !

I agree with msslaydbug watching from O'hana was great. You can also see them good from the beach at the Poly, but I could not hear the music. I love watching them in the park also, it is a great experience.

If there is time when you are done with dinner.... yes, I would hop the monorail. But you need about 30 minutes to get over there. Not that it actually takes that long.... but you want to have time to get through security and into the park and find a nice spot on Main Street.

But I also suggest watching from the Poly beach. They do pipe in the music... you just have to try to be by one of the speakers.....
We have watched Wishes from the beach and it is fantastic!!!

If it is your first time seeing the MK fireworks, then you should go to the park!
The experience is amazing. To get a good spot you should plan on being in the park 30-40 minutes before the show. The spectromagic parade is breathtaking, try to see it too!
I watched the fireworks with my DH on the beach at the Poly. It was so romantic with no music at all! Either way it will be wonderful. Have a great trip. :sunny:

My must do every trip is to eat dinner at Ohanas and head down to the beach at the Poly to watch the electrical boat parade and the fireworks. My toes in the sand and a drink in my hand. It is the most magical "free" thing to do at Disney. pixiedust:

It will be our families first time seeing the fireworks, we have two kids 10&7.Now there's so many good choices to pick from :lmao:.

We're going to be at O'hana's during the end of March and hoping to see the fireworks too!!! :goodvibes

When we saw Wishes in Oct 04 at the Poly beach.... the music was piped in....
but from a few posts here saying there was no music......??
Did they change it? Or did they trouble with their speakers and take them out??? :confused3

We had a table by the window at Ohana's and thought this would be great to watch the fireworks. when the fireworks started the rush of people, (mostly children) that wedged themselves between our table and the window, not only blocked the nice view, but also knocked over a drink. We are good sports and understand crowds and WDW, but next time, I will go to the park to watch the fireworks. the train station upstairs keeps the lights on during the show, but it is a great place. May need an hour or more to get a bench.

I agree with watching from the beach at the poly. The music is piped in to the outdoor speakers (though faint) but the reflection off the water makes it even more spectacular!
One note- bring a sweater if it's cool, and bug spray if it is summer.
