Ohana

Tried it for the first time on our last trip. We think that the dining room it is in is lovely and have dined over there even as early as 1970 (have been to most of the other resturants they had here too). I love a meal here on a full MK day, don't mind waiting a little for the ADR in the nice lounge area, as our feet are tired and it's a much needed break from our typical MK touring day of 8 a.m. to midnight. We had an ADR for 5:45 p.m. (thought we had great service and found the food really good) // shrimp on the skewers was to die for. Pretty heavy on chicken and meats so I wouldn't recommmend this for a vegetarian. // I would go again for sure.

Ohana is my favorite. Our food has always been great. As far as the wait time...I think we waited 15min past our ressie time.

My son and I went for the first time over the holidays. The food was good. The only bad thing was we ate so much that we didn't have room for dessert.:lmao:

EXACTLY!!!

We went Thanksgiving week and loved it but do wish I had more room for that bread pudding--it was great.

Op--we LOVED the meal! Our entire family of 5 will be going back again :).

We ate there on 2/18 and it was as fab as always. We got the big table closest to the Magic Kingdom and it was so great. The food was AMAZING. Nothing was cold, everything was perfect. We even got virgin daquiris as our included drink. DS got chicken and fries. Was one of our best meals all week. The kids entertainment during dinner is great. We got in right at our reservation time too!

Thank you all for the feedback. I was referring to dinner. We made a 5:15 ADR on a Monday, so hoefully we can avoid the waiting te be seated.

We recently had dinner there for the first time and we enjoyed it as well. We also had 5:15 reservations and had to wait a few minutes past our ADR time, but no big deal. Meal was good, ukele entertainer was a bit annoying (but my DD3 enjoyed it!) and we would definitely go back.

It's a must do for us!! We have always found the food to be fabulous and plentiful from start to finish. The bread pudding... Heaven.

I was really bummed last year b/c I was on a vegan diet (marathon training) and I wasn't sure if noodles and broccoli would cut it. I had noted on my ADR my vegan diet change and Chef TJ outdid himself!! I had a WONDERFUL meal. Truly. It was so good and I never felt deprived or left to pick on sides while everyone else pigged out. I got to pig out too...but I didn't feel like a big lump when I left!!

We love Ohana. Try it. You won't be sorry. :thumbsup2

We have eaten there twice - both times were not the best ever. The wait was pretty lengthy, and we felt rushed through our meal both times. The food was not terrible - I especially liked the wings. However, we felt like the crowd was so huge, maybe they really wanted us out of there? We barely had time to gulp down one thing before we were being served meat. We knew this was part of the experience, so we were prepared for the amount of food, but we felt so overwhelmed, we couldn't enjoy it!

'Ohana is a love it or hate it experience. And judging by the fact that it is one of the most difficult ADRs to get at WDW it would seem the majority of people love it.

Count our family with the lovers. As others have said the only difficulty is finding room to put everything. Yes the meats can be a bit dry and overdone so we go easy on them to leave room for the best dessert at WDW.

:thumbsup2 Love, Love, Love it - can't say enough about how good everything is and the dessert - oh my, making me drool - it's so yummy! Don't understand one poster saying it was way too well done. We asked for ours the way we wanted it and that's the way the waiter (cousin) brought it - no problems whatsoever. My husband likes his med-rare. I like mine med. and that's what we got :goodvibes It's one of our favorite buffets, the other being Cape May Clambake. We like to eat early when they first open and have never had to wait, even though we usually don't make reservations. The earlier you go the quicker you get seated as the whole place is empty ;) Enjoy :woohoo:

We eat here every year. It's the only restaurant DH always insists on!

The good: the food. I love the preludes, and the bread pudding! But it's defintely a carnivore's paradise. They will keep bringing food until you burst :lmao:

The bad: A lot of people love her; but my kids couldn't stand it even when they were small. I have to agree with the PP who said she's very loud and, I think, horribly condescending to the kids. To each his own. I generally just ask for a table not under a speaker when I check in! Service can be hit or miss. In ten times, we've had great service a couple of times, horrible service twice but average most others. Not too bad ;)

cant seem to find an accurate price for a kid here? anyone have the cost of the kids dinner?

Kid's meal is $15.99 according to Allears.

We liked the food at Ohana, but the "entertainment" was too much. The lady with the uke was very irritating, and DD wanted nothing to do with being anywhere near her.

I eat gluten-free and got some special GF chicken wings that were AMAZING, and I think had regular rice instead of noodles. DD wasn't that crazy about the food - she wanted shrimp, but it was all spiced up. Does anyone know if you can get just a skewer of fairly PLAIN unseasoned shrimp?

It's by far our favorite restaurant at Disney and we try to eat there twice during every trip. Love the food! Kids can pretty much order what they want too -- my son got mac 'n cheese, a hot dog and a cheeseburger on our last trip. The only con as we see it (even with a young son) is the entertainment. The coconut race is more annoying than fun, especially if you're sitting in the aisle.. I guess it's kind of a novel thing the first time out..

Can't help but wonder if some of these negative reviews are from years gone by? IMHO a review is only relevant if it is recent, within the past 90 days.

We had a 5pm ADR at O'Hana on Feb 5th and it was superb!
-Seated promptly
-Attentive, but not intrusive, server and assistant server
-Awesome salad & dressing
-Pineapple Bread = MY FAVE!
-Fresh and hot food
-Meats, Shrimp & Broccoli cooked to perfection & not overdone
-Tasty dumplings and noodles
-Bread pudding to die for!
-Yummy Pina Colava from Tambu Lounge
