Just back and ate at 'Ohana for 2nd time. It was GREAT, even better than the first time! The shrimp on skewer is back!!! This was the only place DH wanted to make sure I got ADR for. The potatoes are so good and if you're thinking of making an ADR for this place, do it! It's great! Kids like it too and everyone said this is a must do for us from now on.

So the shrimp is back? Is the sausage gone? I don't have to ask about the potatoes, since I see you had them, I was hoping they'd stay. Is anything else different?

:thumbsup2

Glad to finally hear some good reviews on Ohana's. Up until September I heard nothing but good things about it. Since making my ADR's I've heard nothing but the opposite. We are excited to go and it sounds like fun for the kids too. Thanks for the great review.:woohoo:

OP are there any other changes to the menu that you know of? (I've hear rumors about all kinds of possible changes happening.)

I assume since there is shrimp on the skewer they have done away with the peel and eat shrimp? Do they still have the fried wontons and sauces? The salad? The chicken wings? The bread pudding for dessert?

Thanks.

Hi, Yes they had salad, peel and eat shrimp, chicken wings and then steak, pork and shrimp on skewers, sauces for meat, (no sausage), potatoes and yes they had the bread pudding for dessert which is soooooooooooo good! :cloud9:

The first time we went there a few years back I didn't like it as much as I did this time. I remember the meat on skewers being dry and we felt really really rushed. This time the wontons were gone but the peel and eat shrimp were good.

This time DD (7) participated in the coconut race. It was so cute seeing all the kids do this. A couple kids just started running with the coconuts instead of sweeping them and it was fun to watch

The Mai Tais are good there but I think around 8.00 or 9.00 a drink:scared1:

Yeah Shrimp!!!! On a Stick!!!

Ok, so this is one place that I have been up in the air about, but the more that I read the more I am convinced. So this is a buffet? I have two 17 year olds that are never full :lmao: The food selection sounds great:thumbsup2 Whats a coconut race? What else do they do? Is it like Whispering Canyon or something, we like it there.:)

It's not a buffet, but it's all you can eat. They serve you family style... bring out big dishes (or skewers) of all the food and you pass it around. If you run out, just ask for more. :)

I actually took a picture of them bringing the meat out on skewers because I knew no one at home would believe me (they're Disney virgins). :lmao:

:lmao: Thats funny. Is there any way that you could post the picture? I would love to see it. Im an Ohana virgin:lmao: :lmao:

We had dinner here for Christmas & they did have the skewered shrimp, but it is still the peel & eat. Is this how it was before they took it off the menu?

I love Ohana's. :goodvibes It was by far our favourite restaurant on our last trip, and we tried a lot of new places. Our food and the service was great. And the bread pudding was sooooo yummy.

It's good to see some good reviews. :cheer2:
