Ohana or Homecomin?

I think it's worth doing both. We finally ate at Ohana for dinner on our most recent trip and the whole family loved it. My husband has soy and dairy allergies and they were able to accommodate him and he loved his meal. I was really looking forward to the thigh high chicken biscuits at Homecomin' and they did not disappoint. Possibly the best fried chicken that I've ever had. But, my husband was not able to eat at Homecomin' because they use soy oil in everything. Since it was a lunch reservation, my son and husband ended up going to Blaze, while my daughter and I just got appetizers to share. While I did love the food, the manager was not helpful at all about the allergy (which is why my husband left). So I liked both, but Ohana gets the win for being able to accommodate the whole family.

Religiously have 2 reservations booked for Ohana every time I visit (from the UK). This past June, I swapped both out for 2 trips to Homecomin. Amazing food and drink.

No question which is my favorite now :)

we have both reserved... Havent been to Disney in over 10 years... so O'hana for dinner one night, and then we are doing Homecomin brunch, but at 11, so I can pick out lunch menu items and my husband can get his hallelujah biscuits and a bloody mary!
Is there a reason it is one over the other if you have the dining plan??

I am from the south so I might be a harsh critic but I can go to Ohana (the families favorite) or I can go eat VERY average chicken. Hmm easy call. I have read several reviews that hate Ohana saying its just the quantity or the atmosphere for Ohana but my ever dieting girls don't go to Ohana for a lot of food (although atmosphere may count a lot to them) but for the taste. If you have never been to a higher end chicken restaurant you will like Homecomin but there are thousands of small mom and pop restaurants in the South that do a better job than they do. But I will admit a weakness for their deviled eggs.

Originally I had trouble finding an adr for Homecomin except for during our Ohana night. But I was able to find one on the touringplans finder. So now we have both scheduled. Looking forward to going to Homecomin for the first time.

This is probably what makes or breaks a restaurant for some people--what you can get at home. I'm from Virginia, closer to DC. The best fried chicken we have is Popeye's. For food like what is served at 'Ohana, we have TONS of those places. I did 'Ohana several times when my kids were younger and we really enjoyed it. The last one or two times we went (and it has been awhile) the meats were almost inedible to me. The rest of the food/sides were "fine." But I can get tons better here. Heck, I have the means to make some of those sides at home and they taste just as good. That's saying something because I don't enjoy cooking and rarely can I match restaurant quality. So I would never recommend 'Ohana to anyone.

Now, I am feeling a little nervous about Homecomin'. I do kind of feel like I'm wasting a dinner on something like picnic food!

Homecomin was the TS winner for our trip. We've been here 10 days and it was the place with the best food and service of the whole trip. Our Disney owned restaurant experiences were underwhelming to say the least. Homecoming was excellent all around. It's a fantastic restaurant.
