Ohana kids menu, what is on it?

I asked something like this on the DDP board but got no response so here is a modified version. I know you can get kids meals at Ohana for dinner (instead of the set menu). Last time DD had chicken strips. Does anyone know what else is on that menu? Appetizers? Desserts? I am trying to figure out if we go there on DP, will DD get a full meal off the kids menu, or if the only thing they offer is the "main dish". Anyone know? JJ

There is no "kids menu". You get either chicken fingers, grilled cheese, or a hot dog. I think it is whatever they have for kids from next door. There are no appetizers or desserts. You just get the main entree, and eat whatever else they offer from Ohana's.

Ok, thanks! It sounds like then I shoudn't plan on using a DDP credit there if all I am getting is a $5 plate of chicken strips. I'll plan on paying for her OOP. JJ

When we went to Ohana with our niece we still paid the Ohana price for her. She ate a few of the chicken wings, some rice, and some salad. In addition they brought her some "kid" food as well. Ther waitress verbally gave her several choices (they were not the same choices as Kona). She chose the PBJ with fries. When it got there they were the uncrustables. Dniece took a couple of bites but didn't like them. The waitress noticed and offered to bring her something else. She brought back some chicken strips. Dneice ate most of those. She also ate some pineapple dessert. This was obviously before the change over in menus. I was very pleased with the service she got. I felt the waitress went out of her way to make sure Dniece was satisfied. I was happy to pay the ten dollars or whatever. I would suggest paying the full child's price and leting your child give it all a try.

I didn't realize that they had kid's choices here. I am not sure if DD3 would prefer to eat the same food we will have or regular Disney kid fare, like chicken strips or a hot dog. Does she have to order a kid's meal, or can she eat the adult offerings? Or, is it that she gets a kid's meal, and can pick at our salad, wing, mealt skewers, and desert if she wants? We are on the DP. I'm not looking to "share" with her, or save her credits.

They don't have a kid's menu exactly. I think sometimes they verbally offer these things to picky children. Your child will be able to eat the standard offerings.

When we ate there last May my DD had 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. Not that she is a big eater, she really enjoyed it and the waitress said it was all she could eat and that she could get a different item the 2nd time if she wanted to.

You can get her a kids meal and let her pick. Our kids got mac and cheese but ate the won ton chips and some of the chicken wings etc. For dessert we knew they would not eat the bread pudding(MORE FOR ME!) so we asked for bowls of plain vanilla ice cream for them.
