ohana for breakfast?

wondering if the food is the same as all the other buffet breakfasts... is it any better, anything worth going for? and are the characters dressed in costumes or in regular garb?

'ohana breakfast is not buffet... it's table service all you care to eat... excellent food (mickey waffles! yummmy! but you feel a tad guilty biting his ears off whenhe's watching)... if i remember correctly the characters are dressed in "hawaiian" garb... it's great fun for kids (big and little)! excellent character interaction too!

They have a pineapple coconut bread that is AMAZING. That bread may just be my favorite thing on property.

That breakfast is a great way to start the day. You can meet some characters and stare at the castle while you eat. It really pumps you up!

We just returned. We did Ohanas for breakfast Fridaymorning. I know many love it but I found it to be just ok.It was very crowded which I expected. The hostess we got was very monotone and un enthused in explaining it to us and doing her speel (sp?) I heard one of the guys and he was so excited and enthused that I knew we got someone who was not interested in being there that day. It was just DD and I celebrating her birthday. We were there over an hour and finally left without her seeing Chip or Dale. Mickey and Goofy came by just long enough to sign the booka dn take apicture hardly no interaction. Our waitress was very nice and the pineapple bread was good. The sausage was crispy which was weird. DD would not eat hardly anything. I am glad we tried it but we wont be back. They did a childrens parade around the restaurant but really didnot do anything to make DD feel special for her B-day. Also there were so many kids and parents pushing into the parade that DD got pushed to the end of the parade all by herself just walking around./ i felt so bad for her. Hope this helps. I owuld spend my $$ elsewhere. Oh there were in surfer/hawaii type costumes.

Ohanas is great! I generally do not like restaurants but we make a point to attend Ohanas character breakfast once every trip. You'll have a great time if you go. The only X factor if the characters. Every character breakfast I have read about always has a few reviews where someone's kids were basically ignored. Ohanas is no exception. I would try this one out though over all the other breakfasts there.

We enjoyed O'Hanas for breakfast. I love the atmosphere at the Poly. It reminds me of my trip to Hawaii several years ago (even the smell). I think the food was great..even better that they bring it TO you, instead of buffet style. How many ways can you do breakfast anyway? Characters did interact w/ my then 5 yo DD, but not as much as some other places. She did join the parade around the restaurant and liked that. I'd do it again.
