As they've just added 8 pm fireworks for the last few days in September, I've booked Ohanas at 7:10 pm for Monday, 9/30. This is our day at Typhoon Lagoon, so we didn't want to use a hopper day to see the fireworks.
Can you see the fireworks from inside the restaurant or should I make an earlier PS so we can head out to the beach to watch? How long does it take to eat? How's the food?

Yes you certainly can. But your other option would work just as well.
I reviewed 'Ohanas a few weeks back from our wedding rehearsal dinner. Search for it if you're interested.
you may want to arrive a little early to ask for a magic kingdom view table. You can not see the fire works well from some of the tables. We watched the fireworks during dinner a few weeks ago. We had a table right next to the window facing the magic Kingdom. They dim the lights and pipe in the music like they do at Narcoosees and california grill. Our service and food was excellent and it was nice to see the fireworks while dinning. If you don't want to take a chance in not getting a table with a view though you may want to eat earlier. The view from the beach is great and relaxing. Don't forget about the water Padgent too. It makes a great ending to an evening like this. I think it is around 9:15 or so from the Poly.
