I am sorry to be posting a bad review about one of my favorite restaurants. O'hana, I went there the other night in hopes of a walk in. We arrived at around 8 pm, hoping there would be room for the two of us. As we walked up we were not greeted by a friendly face, she briskly asked for the reservation name, before i could finish saying oh we do not...i got cut off with a we are booked. I explained that we were hoping for a walk up, she then cuts me off again and says how she already broke down the walk up line. I asked if this meant that walk ups were no longer accepted, and she said that she "guessed she could reset up the line" That to me was just a little extreme, like we were putting her way out. I just felt like you know, i didn't want to push it, and didn't find it necessary to eat there that evening. I am sorry O'Hana, but that was a let down

We had a similar rude encounter in May when we tried to walk up. We went to Kona instead.

Sorry to hear that you weren't treated with the regular Disney customer service attitude. It was weird but we ate there last month and we had reservations but the girl at the podium was not very friendly. We were a little late for our ADR because of a monorail backup and we had been stuck on it forever. I went up and greeted her warmly and said "Hi! I'm sorry we are a little late but we were stuck on the monorail". She did not greet me at all, she asked for my last name and did not look up and never said another word. She only handed a pager to me and that was it! I thought maybe she was mad at me because I was late! But then the pager went off about 10 minutes later so she couldn't have been THAT mad, right? :lmao: Luckily our fabulous server made up for her lack of enthusiasm. But I totally get where you're coming from.

wonder if it was the same girl, hmmm, believe me, I understand transportation issues, I am a pirate over in MK and we have parties all the time coming running in all out of breath because the bus or monorail were late, I always tell them to breathe, it is ok, they are here now, do not worry.

I like you so much! So many people seem to have no compassion for others. A kind word is worth everything to tender hearts.

Oh Granfan thank you so much. Come by and say hi at the Pirates League, that is where my disney home is. I really appreciate you kind words, I agree though kind words can change anything.

We've eaten at O'hana several times and have yet to meet any uber-friendly cms. They all seem to be irritated all the time whenever we have arrived. :confused3

maybe it's because they are always constantly packed and that girl been working for over 10 hours? who knows...

maybe, i will be returning but it was just not very "disney" customer service. I know what it is like to work 10 hours + at disney, but you still got to keep that costumer service going.

More than likely! I would probably be the grouchy CM everyone on here complained about so I just go on vacation and am nice instead :D

I think they may be clones at the ohanas podium. Really angry clones. We have had the same thing happen both times we have gone. Or maybe it's like the "punishment" place, like you were late to work too bad sucker you have to work the podium at ohanas.....

I just deal with it knowing I will be getting meat on a stick soon...........

My first trip I was late to one of my first ADRs. We had just been on TSM and the ride messed up and skipped a screen so they let our car go again... and I wasn't about to pass that up!

I get over to Mama Melrose and the CM was awesome. She said "It may say we are Mama's but we don't yell like Mama, just have a seat and your table will be ready soon" It was ready in 5 min and we had a great lunch!

I have encountered nice CMs at Ohanas, but this was for breakfast and it was a server. The person at the podium wasn't miserable or anything I just dont' remember so they probably just did what they were supposed to.
