Just back from a great trip! Purchased the Chef Mickey Treasures from the Vault & Delicious New Favorites cookbook. Had the recipe for the wings from 'Ohana at the Polynesian. Made them tonight.. Delicious and tastes just like I'm eating them in Disneyworld! Can't wait to try some of the other recipes. A little taste of Disney in my own kitchen!

Can you share? I am found the recipe for the sauce but I know it is "marinated" in herbs/spices before they put the sauce on.

Thanks. The chef was able to make them special for my aunt without the sauce due to her food allergies and I wanted to make them for her. She loved how she was able to EAT at Disney.

If it's the same book, I have the recipe follows as

Ingredients:

Coriander Wings:

1 tbs coarse salt
2 tbs paprika
2 tbs sugar
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
4 tbs canola oil
4 lbs chicken wings or drummettes

Wing Sauce:

1 tbs chili powder
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tbs ground coriander
2 tbs lime juice
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup honey
3/4 cup water
2 tbs corn starch

For the wings

1. Preheat oven to 500F. Line a baking sheet with 1-inch sides with foil.
2. Combine all ingredients except chicken in a large glass bowl. Add chicken and toss to coat well.
3. Spread the seasoned wings on the baking sheet and roast until browned, about 35 minutes.
4. To serve, toss with wing sauce.

For the sauce;

While the wings are baking, combine ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until liquid reduces to a syrup, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and keep warm.

If it's the same book, I have the recipe follows as

Thank you. The chef told us that it didn't have sugar in it but is sounds right as to the other ingredients. I think I'll try it with thighs that I just bought and see how they taste.

These were awesome! The kids like it with out the sauce but the adults prefer it with! They are also great as leftovers on a bun with cheese! yummy.

Thanks
