Should I have any hope?

We are going to WDW March 31-April 7. We are flying out of Indianapolis. We have even looked at driving to Chicago to fly out of if it was cheaper. All of the cheap SWA fares are gone. All that is left is 189.00 per person, one way. AirTran is the same. It is the start of spring break. Do you think they will come down in price or open up more flights? Or should I not hold my breath??

I do have Ding, but like I said it is spring break and if their flights are selling out, then I doubt there will be any dings!! :confused3

I am flying out of Chicago on April 6th, SW was to high and I kept looking. We ended up with ATA out of Midway, RT with taxes came to $165 per person.

SWA does not "open up more flights" (whatever that means). Their schedule is set months in advance and if you were not lucky enough to grab the "cheap" seats, you'll pay more for what's left.
It's the law of supply and demand.
Have a magical vacation! :)

They may not open new flights but they also don't post all avail flight on 1st postings .

Say they have 5 direct flights from BWI to MCO posted on Jan 1 then when those start to fill up you will notice 2 or 3 more start to fill in the times .If you look at some days now you will notice flight 3's for certain days and others for other days .

SW flight #'s don't change day to day most times.

we went a busy week, jersey week and the fares on swa booked so fast, and they never came down. they know they have the market and demand for the week. we were lucky and got the 79 each way and did get dinged but that week never opened up lower fares. good luck thought.

I received an email from Southwest today offering Indianapolis to Orlando for $94 one way (same for us here in Detroit), must fly between Feb. 14 and June 9th. But when I go to the site, I don't see anything less than $200 one way offered (I've posted this on the "Ding" thread also). Try it, maybe you'll have better luck!~:)~
