The log was a little front end loaded and the guy in front got soaked!!!! Being further back I was spared.

This time I didn't.....

Strange place to find Pooh but Critter Country is appropriate

A nice photo spot

Queue- again a bit confusing to find the entrance

Enjoyed the updates! I like being able to compare the similarities and differences between DL and WDW!!! Thanks again for taking us along!!! :goodvibes

With the exception of this queue, this ride is pretty similar to WDW. Just as thrilling and exciting.

Those three pink barrels make a nice Hidden Mickey!!! :thumbsup2

Interesting name for the local newspaper. :confused3 I'm guessing the Obituaries aren't buried deep in the back pages of that one........

Some of the Californian Casualness

Or just an excuse to post another trash can pic??? :rolleyes1

Disney rides are so much fun, and different, at night!!!

This is usually MY luck!!! After an experience like this I swore I would never be the one in front again. SO not a good thing! :sad2: Hopefully the poor guy stopped and got that shirt as a souvenir.

What is it with Disneyland and the difficult to navigate queues??? But hey, yet another opportunity to Waste Please! :rotfl:

I love the way Disney always themes even the smallest of details! :)

Yum! And nice T-shirts………..

:woohoo: for short waits!

I am not posting much lately, but I am still reading along and loving all the updates. I really need to play the lottery and win so I can get out there and do a few other things on my bucket list!!!!

I believe it is the 11th through 14th.

Drat again - missing Jill by 2 days on the front end and MEK by 1-2 days on the back end. Well I know Jill will have a blast with Brooklynn and I will see all of you in Dec. ::yes::

This is about to become extinct, isn't is? Good thing we have some unused Fastpasses to keep as a part of Disney history.

Maybe- if everything goes digital and no more paper is needed. I have a few stashed away as well.

In some ways very similar and in some ways verrrry different.

Like WtP being near splash- that can sure confuse a person. :lmao:

I am sure that's why I took that picture but in my haste before posting didnot make that comment.

Glad I had the opportunity to do both.

Somehow I think he was a little miffed at being wet and not interested in that shirt, just standng in the sun to dry. :rolleyes1

That and the Matterhorn.... I did my share of wandering around that trip.

Buzz buzz - one the MANY things I love about Disney.

Yum! And nice T-shirts………..

:woohoo: for short waits!

Very similar things in gift shops, snacks and all. Waits were pretty short all of the trip except in Radiator Springs.

Thanks for reading along. I do the same mostly and try to comment when I can but when catching up via phone that is not always possible.

DL and CA are a couple of fun places. I hope to get back next year. :cheer2:

I wished you safe trip on your Roaming PTR. Have a great time and bring us back all the funnies.

I love seeing all the DL pics! I went once, I few years ago, but only for one night, so I really didn't get to look too closely at anything. Wasn't it disorienting? Like when you dream about your house, and it's just not quite like it is in reality...

Can't wait for more!

Exactly ....:rotfl2: The different rules about FP and such were interesting.

Finding Winnie the pooh right by Splash Mountain and it was kind of like taking 4 parks and mushing them into 2. CA was really an eclectic mix where DL was similar enough yet different and enough to be disorienting at times.

The closeness of the parks and resorts can't be beat. Easily walking between the two and exiting right into the GCV can't be beat.

Catching up! Really enjoying all your DL pictures and comparing to WDW. The queue at BTM looks cool there.

Can't wait to read more! :)

Yeah, the proximity was great, and GCV sure is gorgeous (I stayed there, too). I was a bit underwhelmed by the parks in general, but that might have been because it was such a quick trip...I really missed that whole immersed-in-Disney feeling I get at WDW. And even though I was there at a slow time, because of the FP differences, I felt like I had to wait in lots of 15-20 minute lines, which I wouldn't usually do at WDW. But hopefully I'll get to go back someday for more than one night, and give it another chance!

BTMRR and Splash look so similar. I Googled the Splash boats hehehe. Other than that though, very much the same. I'm enjoying trying to pick out each similarity and difference. :thumbsup2

Sorry about how far behind I was Pat, but I'm caught up now. I had to laugh at how persistent you were in trying to find that bathroom near the Tiki Room. :rotfl2: (By the way, the link in your index for Critter Country goes to the Splash chapter. :goodvibes)

Yes the total immersion is missing. Things are so close that I think I have a picture coming up where you can see ToT from the Railroad. I believe WDW has stronger themeing where Carsland is the only place I felt that in Ca.

It's interesting how the DL queues and rides all seem to incorporate more outdoor areas.

I can only assume the weather is the reason or that it was realized that was not a great option and fixed it at WDW. To a WDW goer- the lines seemed long until you realize that right when you get close to a building it is boarding time instead of another 20-30 inside.:lmao:

It was fun playing compare and contrast. Several bloggers have done the same.

Glad you made it over. I hope your work load gets a bit easier. Fall is our slow season but I always seem to pack it up with other things, like time off. :lmao:

That bathroom and the walk was probably 30-50 feet back and forth. :lmao:
But I had to do it 2 times and ask 2 CMs. :rotfl2: Should not have been that hard. But now I KNOW where it is!!!! :thumbsup2

Link fixed and thanks. :)

Good thing you didn't have a toddler in tow ..... when they tell you they have to go, you really don't have that kind of time :goodvibes

I took a 3 year old on Living with the Land not long ago and about half way through he says "I have to go potty" I was like :scared1: then he says "but I can hold it" hahaha - thankfully he knows when he can hold it and when he can't!

Ah yes the toddler. I had a mom and her toddler in the lobby of the rec. center not long ago and the mom was getting program information. Suddenly the boy goes " Mommy....potty" I heard it but I guess Mom didn't

Soon it was " Potty ..... POTTY....... POTTY.... PPPPOOOOOTTTTYTYYYY!!!!!!!"

Finally the mom paid attention and told him to hold it. The bathroom was literally 10 feet away and she could have addressed it sooner. But he calmed down and waited so I guess that is his potty alarm. ;)

As for Living with the land- just be thankful you weren't on Ellen. :scared1:

Loving frontierland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been so long I forget all the little differences, so fun to see and really enjoying all the pictures.

It is just different enough to mess with you a bit. :lmao: Especially when they hide those bathrooms.:rotfl:
