Still enjoying the tour. It's always fascinating to compare the differences between the parks.

But man, it's hard work trying to keep THAT SONG from being stuck in my head when I look at the pictures.

Time for Tomorrowland - Now here is where things start to be strange.


Space Mountain

Crazy thing about DL is that during extra magic morning hours you cannot get a FP. I guess I understand that but it still stinks.

So finally upon entering early and waiting for regular park hours to start I wanted a FP for later- but the machine wont spit one out. Had to talk to the CM and at first she couldn’t do anything????
No secret stash you all keep when the machine malfunctions....
No button to push to force one out...

What do you mean you can't do anything????

She finally after searching her brain for a solution - she was nice about the whole thing but I was taken aback at the I can't do anything about it- she hands me a handicap access pass. What ever it worked later so no problem just an odd situation.

Side by side cars

Entering is interesting. You actually go up back outside and over before entering the building again. Narrow passageways and instead of one loooong path it twist and turns.

The Ghost galaxy thing was an overlay for Halloween. I would definitely say not for younger ones. Lots of scary "mask" screamer faces like the sign and noises.

You enter and then walk down to board- set up like BTMRR I guess.

Handicapped access- this was neat. You will see a spot with space to the side then a loading area. The people needing assistance wait there. The car then moves ahead and then SLIDES OUT OF THE WAY to the side for loading.
Then it slides back and off you go. GENIUS. This way they can take their time and the car can be moved back into the flow of cars when ready.

Getting into adventureland

Bathroom and story

This bathroom took 3 different CMs to help me find. Picture if you will a short path, Tiki room on the left and main drag to Frontierland on the right. Tiki room

I could see the Men’s room so I knew the ladies must be nearby. Shops on either side but I see no entrance. Walk in one shop and ask. It‘s around the corner. Walk out and around the corner, nothing.

Walked all the way around to the other shop. Found something familiar but not a bathroom.

Go in and ask again. It s around the corner. Okay…. Back around. All the way to the first shop.

CM looks at me after I ask and says- it’s right there and finally starts to walk out with me. That’s when I see it. There is a bit of a screen by the doorway for privacy and the only sign is behind the doorway.

Coming from a place where I know where every bathroom is and then being in alternate universe where everything is similar but not the same I was a little frustrated. Not snit frustrated but combine that with the CM with of why can’t you find it attitude, it was memorable and not in a good way.




I mean I HAD my first visit button on.

I really enjoyed your Tomorrowland update. The Ghost Galaxy overlay looks really cool. Interesting to have the side by side seating on Space Mountain.......well, as long as you didn't end up beside someone who screamed in your ear the whole ride or something!

Of course it wouldn't be a Poolrat update without lots of trashcan pictures! And how funny your bathroom story!

That was a tough one. Frustrating but in a funny way almost. It just felt a bit out of sorts. Next time maybe I will have my bearings and not feel like I am wandering so much.

I think Buzz made it easier to aim but If you had shaky hands, no better to shoot and get your target.

The Terrance really had no view - glad they fixed that at WDW.

You do need to see this park - it really is beautiful and compact. So easy to maneuver. Just look at the map for a bathroom.

It was cool but about as strange as the noises in WDW. Definitely for an older crowd. While this is side by side another familiar ride is single file....

Lots of new Trashcans. They had one for every ride and eatery.

Hard to believe I had a hard time finding a bathroom but then again I had to hunt for the Shielas bathroom in Outback Sat night.

It was good. Once again not having an outright Main street Bakery caused some confusion at first but finally got some eats and plenty - could not resist that banana bread.

No bad enough that I couldn't find the bathroom that was really right in front of me but rather the lack of help I seemed to have from the CMs.

Jolly Holiday was good , a nice little place to grab something. Very much like the Main street bakery. If I remember correctly they do sandwiches for breakfast and lunch.

I did a fair amount of research but used the WDW guide to DL on the DIS and there was a WoC thread for views I looked at. Not sure but I think they changed it since I went so be sure to look again.

things to note
FP are not available during Magic Mornings hours, only during regular park hours. I knew and still made that mistake.

Space is side by side, Hopefully tonight you will see that Splash is not.

Flo's is a must eat. Very good. Other than that and Carthay Circle for WoC

I did not seem to research too much. Hopefully I will do better with that next time.

You can easily go back to the room at any time. The pools are nice resort pools not really themed in any certain way but there are a few of them all clustered together at GC.

The walk from the villas to the secret entrance is about what you would find from a WDW resort to the busses I guess. You can cut through the pool area instead of walking around.

Took Super shuttle from the airport instead of Disneys transport- cheaper.
Not sure if faster per say- the driver had 3 very different different and varied locations to drop off at.

I will think further and see if anything pops in my head.

The track itself did not stand out to me and I know they play music which would enhance it but with Halloween overlay it seemed much like a dare I say Universal ride and effect.

The handicapped access is Genius and I hope not a pain in the rump maintenance wise.

I guess I was playing clueless tourist and Iwould have laughed more at myself ( I did while I was looking ) if the CM could have helped me. I had my first visit button but as usual I guess to them with more of a local and frquesnt visitor base the hidden sign behind the privacy screen was obvious.

Well darn it I know where it is now. It became my favorite bathroom....
