I don't mind that you took a long time between updates, I am behind anyway! LOL
There is slow and Slooooww- I hope to have more regular updates. I really want to be done by Oct.
I really like that swirly Mickey Jewelry too! I am not a real big jewelry wearer but I would love that little charm on a necklace.
I get in moods to wear jewelry and I really like that set but can't seem to find it on a regular basis. May need to stop in the jewelry store on Main street in Oct.
Great memorabilia pics! Looks like similar to some of what's in One Man's Dream, I love all that stuff.
I think the whole park is like One Man's Dream I guess mainly because t really was and he brought it to life.
I love those rides in Fantasyland, Alice and Pinnochio, they look so cute! I always liked that type of ride.
I especially likes Mr. Toad's wild ride since it is still at DL. But I will say the memories of the ride from when I was a kid are much different now. Back then it was much larger than life.

Pat! It has been a good, long while since I have visited here, but this morning I binge-caught up on your wonderful report.
WOW it sure sounds like it. Thanks for reading..
A few preliminary comments- a belated Happy Birthday to you-hope you had a great day.
I did have a great Birthday !! Thanks
My sincerest condolences on the passing of Shiny- our furry companions are such important parts of our family. I hope time and your happy memories have helped to heal some of the pain.
I will tell you for a while I would look outside for him or would expect him to come running up. After he was gone I realized how slow he was and that it was time to let him go. I really cherish my memories, he was a good cat.
Thank you for the fantastic introduction and overview of
Disneyland. Love all your pictures!!! I know I would adore spotting the similarities and differences between DL and DW!
Thanks. This part is more of a photo essay but I will try to comment as I go along.
The rope at Cars Land rope drop is really a gas!
Seriously, the details there are so incredible! Great job on the video at dusk as the neon started to come on.
It was neat to walk up and catch that. I really felt like I was IN radiator Springs.
I can see why there is so much excitement about the Radiator Spring Racers. Looks beautiful and so much fun.
I hope DHS get CARSLAND but I am hearing Star Wars land and then Carsland, I hope they do both.
Not sure I entirely understand Luigi's Tires ride- Like bumper cars? A slow tea cup type ride? Or if you have been on AstroBlasters at DTD, is it anything like that?
Kind of like Astroblaster but you are in an open tire and you are a giant hockey puck on an air hockey table. Slow bumper cars.
The food from Flo's V-8 looked good and homey and not unlike what you might find at 50's Prime Time.
Flo's was really good. My rookie mistake was really not eating better. Sure Carthay Circle was fabulous but next time I will research more food. Flo's will be a repeat, that's for sure.
Since DL was new to me - I was back in go, go go mode and forgot about eating.
The Paradise Pier area looks like so much fun. Heights don't bother me, so I think I would be ok on the Fun Wheel, especially with the promise of the great views and pictures opportunities. The Grizzly Mtn picture really is fabulous.
I was okay with height it is the falling out that gets me.

Once I was used to it I was okay and could let go and take pictures.
Your Little Mermaid Ride pictures and World of Color pictures are really interesting. How would you rate World of Color vs. Fantasmic?
I like WoC only because it was sooo big you really didn't have to follow a story. Fantasmic there is a bit of a story line that can be hard to follow if you are not front and center it seems. WoC being unique to DL also makes it a must see.
LM is the exact same ride but with a different load area.
Your meal at Carthay Circle looked YUM!!! Those biscuits!!! Love a place that can charge $13 for bread!
I know really!!! But they were worth it , they were fabulous.
A couple of impressions- I love how empty the parks are early and like you said, us East Coast folks are definitely at an advantage. Which is a good thing since there seem to be a LOT of "slow loaders" here.
I can only imagine if lines were long. Since most queues are outside, and it being near record heat when I was there it would have been brutal to be waiting outside.
East Coast time was a huge help.
I will really try to do a better job keeping up here!
Hang on because I need to speed it up a bit, well faster than once every month or so.
