Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

You and your trash cans and bathrooms............ :rolleyes2 :rotfl:

I do love the way you are presenting this trip though, updating by subject/park areas instead of just reliving each day in detail! So much to see and keeps it all together very nicely! :goodvibes So many hidden things that most people don't stop and notice. ::yes::

Okay...here I am, a 32 yr veteran of WDW and have absolutely no idea about this Doggie Path! Where and what is this place? :confused3

More great photos, Pat! Keeps me longing for a DL visit - which is all good!::yes:: (as always, bathroom pic is my fave. ;) )

looking forward to more especially cars land...and i hope that you went on that swinging ferris wheel thingy...and hoping for a video on it, that ride looks like alot of fun.
:thumbsup2

I like the DCA monsters ride, it's cute. What little rumors I've read about a possible WDW/DHS version sounds cool and a great enhancement, we will see huh!

Mike & Sully to the Rescue looks adorable! I think I need to ride that some day. Monsters Inc. is my favourite movie!

It was a cute ride. I would do it again but would not wait in line for it if you know what I mean. Then again the line is pretty cute and I did wait a bit...just long enuogh to look around and get some pictures.

You and your trash cans and bathrooms............ :rolleyes2 :rotfl:

Trash Cans, bathrooms and tile. That's me. ::yes:: I think the bathrooms started when someone else remarked how even the bathrooms are themed. That is the plus, I mean it is a bathroom, but extend theming that far is amazing.

I recently went to a local zoo and while theming there was not spectacular the bathrooms were exactly what you would find at any park. CInder block and no color. Did it surprise me ...no but I did notice. :lmao:

This was much easier - well not in organizing the pictures but in posting - for me to show each place and describe. There may be some additions of a story here or there, especially when I get to Carsland and the experience there.

You may need to read Sorry Gaston Click here for the doggie path story.... :p

As I said above I started taking pictures of bathroom and the tile in particular since I was amazed the theming extends all the way to the bathroom too.

Glad that didn't go unnoticed.:thumbsup2

Now if I start getting both the Women's AND the MEN's room - bet that would get some attention!!! :rotfl2:

I only assume now the Men's in the same area has the same tile....

I'd probably lean the same way. I liked the items in the vending machine, though.:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

The queue was cute, the dark ride cute. Would I stand more than 5 min in line - nah...:lmao:

I will spoil and say I did go on but I will also spoil and say I did not get video. I guess that will be for next time.:thumbsup2 I did get pictures and some geek shots of the World of Color fountains during the day but when the car was swinging I was holding on for dear life.

Yes I will ride coasters and ToT but swinging in a car or an open ferris wheel makes me hold on. I fall into the catagory of fear of falling out. If I am strapped in I am good. Otherwise - not so much. :rotfl2:

I have heard that and Carsland rumors. I watched Cars recently and was floored that at resemblance.

Couple of more updates until I get to Carsland and then I will have quite a few posts to get all the pictures up.

The Muppets were turned into a preview for Frankenweenie

It was a bit odd. The whole kid bring his dog back as Frankenstein.

Well now I know I don’t want to go see it. ;)

Tower of Terror

Tower of terror is different in that when you load the door opens and you have to cross a hallway before the entrance to the car. If you want to be surprised skip the part – I put it in white so you are not tempted- The car then goes straight from ghosts to dropping no short ride to latch into the mechanism. –CAught me a bit off guard. When you exit since the loading door is closed you exit down that hallway. A bit disorienting but neat.

Frankenweenie just didn't look like a movie that would appeal to me, but then I can't say I've been a fan of any movie Tim Burton has done. :sad2:

I loved seeing the differences between ToT at DL and at DHS! The themeing is so great on that ride! :thumbsup2 And you got some great pictures, especially of the ghosts that I know isn't an easy thing to do!!! :cool1:

I see you got more trash cans, but WHAT???..........no bathroom pics??? :confused3 :rotfl:

I read your super secret white text because I can guarantee that I'll never go on any Tower of Terror again. :rotfl: That ride scares me.
Frankenweenie replaced Muppets? Even if temporary, isn't that some type of blasphemy?

I heard that about ToT too there.
We never saw Frankenweenie either. We just didn't have an interest in it.

I am excited about the Monsters, Inc. ride. Jeremy and I both love that movie and are excited to see the new one this summer. The ride is a must do on our list for November.

Too cool about you whiting out the spoiler on TOT. :worship: I am in awe as I had no idea you could do that.

I think I would like the immediate drop better than the car coming out and moving to the drop zone. That freaked me out probably more than the ride itself the one time I rode it. Jeremy says he is going to try it in California so we will see. I might get brave and do it again. ::yes::

Frankenweenie----I endured the movie for Jeremy on our cruise. It was showing one afternoon. I think Tom's exact words as we exited and he was shaking his head, "This is 90 minutes of my life I will never get back."

Great Update!

On purpose? :confused3:rotfl2:

It's Tim Burton. That usually means "skip it" for me. Although I'm surprised it didn't star Johnny Depp in weird makeup.

Wow!! I had no idea you would be dropped down an elevator shaft! :rotfl:

Hidden Mickey?

Is this like a Rorshach test?

Great minds. :thumbsup2

3D did not help it either. :sad2: I guess I get the concept but Tim Burton made it really dark too dark for Disney.

I did like Tim Burtons Nightmare before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach and edward scissorhands in a weird way.

Plenty of ToT trash cans... I was going to joke that I wasn't allowed to use the facilities at the hotel :p

I LOVE ToT. Funny, not a fan of falling, but somehow in that elevator I am fine and enjoy it.

I think The Muppetvision theater is now being used more for previews. I think obviously the Frankenweenie is over but another preview took its place. :confused3

I heard that about ToT too there.

The preveiw solidified it in my mind that I didn't want to see it. :lmao:

I liked the movie too. It is cute and a typical dark ride. I think Jeremy will like it.

Somebody's TR we did that for guesses to a contest or something. It's easy - change the text to white.

I will say it caught me off guard. Didn't scare me but rather surprised me and I did squeal a little.:lmao:

I felt the same way about the preview.:rotfl2: Even though it was probably only 9 minutes long.

On purpose? :confused3:rotfl2:

Go figure.

TIm Burton had gotten weirder but as I said above, I like James and the Giant Peach, Nightmare before Christmas and even Edward Scissorhands. THE others ...not so much.
Surprised Johnny Depp does even have a voice part.

Wow!! I had no idea you would be dropped down an elevator shaft! :rotfl:

You should try it a second time... :lmao:

Is this like a Rorshach test?

The paint cans ... ::yes::

Great minds. :thumbsup2

oh oh oh! I learned some fun facts about ToT this week. Apparently the WDW version was ghastly expensive to build, the DLR version changes that you reference are a direct result of that cost savings.

Which was then leveraged and used when they built the Tokyo version.

Had a nice mechanical engineering discussion of the why's and what's which I'll spare you but it was interesting to hear how it all came about from someone intimately involved in it.

That said...I think the drop is much better/cooler at WDW though that has absolutely nothing to do with the revised design.

Frankenweenie. I'd have seen it, it's kind of a cute concept and well, it's Tim Burton. Jeff thought it sounded stupid and surprisingly, the boys weren't into it so...still haven't seen it.

Now that sounds like a cool discussion. :cool2: I am all about how things work and why certain things turned out the way they did and what they learned in the process.

I can imagine that certain aspect of WDW was a nightmare to engineer.

It would be cool to experience a different version of Tower of Terror. I'd also like to get to Disneyland to do its Haunted Mansion and its Small World, too.

Fun! We love Disney history and trivia stories!

Me, too. When we build DIStown, we'll have guest speakers come and visit Town Hall on a regular basis. :)
