Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

Great pix Pat!!!!!

Thanks I really hope to get back there.

Don't know where I have been, but I just stumbled across your TR. Enjoyed catching up while DH watch the Hobbit. :thumbsup2 BCV looked so relaxing. I'm enjoying your GCV pictures and looking forward to more! ::yes::

party: :welcome: party:

It was so relaxing. Glad it is my "home".

GCV was great and I hope to get back there in 2014.:thumbsup2

Great pictures!! And I noted that the DCA waste binds don't ask you to "waste please"!!! Do you feel cheated?

Happy Easter, Pat!!!

Happy Easter Christine!!!

Some of the recyle bins say " recycle please" But what I found facinating is that not only does each land have aa specific garbage can but in some instances each RIDE has their own. I was in garbage cn heaven with all the different cans. :rotfl2:

Photos are great, Pat! I LOVE bathroom photos!!

I am always intrigued as to the detail and the tile in the bathrooms to make them themed inside and out. It really is the "'plus" that puts it over the top.

Hyperion Theater- for Aladdin show- a don't miss for sure. This show was fantastic.

This guy got some cheers but I forget why…. He was stirring up the crowd in any event.

My mind wanders as I wait for the show to start. To World Showcase. ;)

Looking for hidden Mickeys?

The crazy Elephant. They brought him in and he roamed between the aisle in the theater. You can see here he is taller that the door.

He was a bit tall so when it was time to exit they had to lower him down. Think those muscle cars with the changing suspension. :lmao: The Elephant bcame a "low rider" to get out the door. :rotfl2:

It really was a fabulous show. I am also glad I went right in as soon as I arrived and made time for the show. With nothing else besides nighttime shows on the "need to be at a certain place at a cetain time" agenda, I was free to wander and take pictures of garbage cans. ;)

The Aladdin show was amazing! Definitely worth checking out. They have adapted the show on the Fantasy...very fun!

I LOVE the pix of Aladdin !!If I ever get to DL I will make that a MUST do !!!!

It was a fun show- I didin't have to wait eons for it - 20 or so minutes before showtime. In fact I think I even asked the CM if I had to get in line early and he said the theater is huge and it rarely fills all the way. Probably the time of year helped as well.

Ohhh good to know about the fantasy. It was a really fun show, just long enough and not too insane to stand in line for.

What a cute picture! Love it!

Loved your updates. Everything is so similar, yet so different from WDW, so its just hard for me to make specific comments. I just like to take it all in.

The Aladdin show looks really cool. I love that backdrop. You ended up with some great pics (and I don't mean just the trash cans) :rotfl2:

That was a really fun trip. I really need to find a guide map and post it to give everyone reference points for CA and DL.

CA was really fun but it was like having some of EPCOT and some of DHS all mixed in. Such an weird " everything is the same but different" vibe. :lmao:

Your TR is proving to me two things:
1- I know very little about Disneyland and California Adventure
2- I must go there and find out more!

i wonder what jasmin did to make Aladdin want to punch her in the face. not very disney of him.

:rotfl2: What can I say? California is different from Florida. :rotfl2:

I blew a chance to go to DL in 2007 and I never forgave myself. When my conference is out west, I will MAKE time to go to DL and CA. Especially now that GCV is an option.

Lets see how this works. A cell phone picture of the CA map.

Okay this one showed up huge but while I see if I can make it reasonable here goes....

If you look in the lower right hand side you will see DVC and a path - that is the path you come into CA from GCV.

I walked past Condor Flats which has Soarin' and the Taste Pilots Grill.
Buena Vista Street is the new entrance, and I just took you down through Hollywoodland.

For all you PB haters..... I found some things.
If you into your user setting click on albums - you can add back the easy links and organize your photos with options to organize all albums. Kind of back the way it was. Still working on the resizing thing. Seems easy but it scares me. ;)

ETA: Picture still huge. It may shrink on its own eventually.

I may just break out the good camera to get a decent picture.

Okay finally that is better. :)

Oh that show looks like so much fun!!!! I really really really want to go to Cali!

I enjoy the shows, so I'm sure I would like this one. I doubt I will ever get out to CA, but if I do, Disneyland and San Diego Zoo are my priorities. And I would sure love to stay at Grand Californian. :thumbsup2
