Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

Now that sounds like a cool discussion. :cool2: I am all about how things work and why certain things turned out the way they did and what they learned in the process.

I can imagine that certain aspect of WDW was a nightmare to engineer.

It is interesting when you really thing about what they have to test for etc as these things are designed. Also had an interesting chat about the Indiana Jones show along the same lines.

Really it was all about wire cable... all of it (which may make it sound less interesting lol)

Fun! We love Disney history and trivia stories!

It was more of an engineering case study, or a work product example than true trivia but it was interesting!

Me, too. When we build DIStown, we'll have guest speakers come and visit Town Hall on a regular basis. :)

Guest speakers would be lovely!

It would be cool to experience a different version of Tower of Terror. I'd also like to get to Disneyland to do its Haunted Mansion and its Small World, too.

I was able to get the Haunted Mansion all gussied up for Halloween but got the standard IASW.

:yay: DIStown is sooo awesome.

Oohh I bet the accident there had quite a bit of engineering to go over even though I think the accident was just a lack of tuck and roll? :confused3

Amazing something so simple is mucho importante. So many ways a simple cable can be a lifesaver or the cause of a problem.

It still falls under "Did you know?" I am sure some of the hurdles are between " How can we do THAT!" and " We did THAT and it is sound and safe!

Guest speakers would be lovely!

I had gotten a FP earlier in the day. The plan was to change into something that would /could be wet, run back to room and change and then go back to the park.

Was on the ride at 6:02.

That was at 6:12- By 6:35 I was back in dry clothes in Carsland.

That was one of the best parts of having the resort sooooo close.

Bug's Land is pretty cute!
Holy cow, you got on the ride, got wet, got changed and got back to the park that fast? Amazing!

Bug's Land is cute...I'm sure my kids would love it! We need to make a trip to DL soon....if only $ grew on trees. ;)

Oh my goodness! That's a whole lot of bugs!!!!

I can't believe you got a photo just before you went den the hill!! That's an amazing quick change into dry clothes!!

Great update, loved it, Pat!!

Wow - good planning on the water ride and changing! I'll have to file that information away for when we get to go! I really know so very little about DL - it's been ahem 30 ahem years or so since I've been - there's a whole extra park now!! Must keep researching. Thanks for all the info and showing the map was really helpful too.

I remember Evan loving the Bug's land area. He was two so doesn't remember a thing himself but it was adorable.

You did get wet! When we were there last it was April and just too cold out to go on it, kind of a bummer.

So many cute things in A Bug's Land! Very nicely done. :thumbsup2

It was very cute- the girls would love it.

Flick's Fair was really cute but unlike Fantasyland, it was very apparent that all the rides were for small children.

I was lucky to be right at the resort entrance, and yes I pretty much was dripping down the hallway, but so easy to do.

Great Update Pat!!! I love those raft rides , but no one else ever wants to get wet!!!!!!:rotfl2:

I will get on IF it is really hot or I can change pretty quickly.

Funny I hate walking around in wet clothes. I guess if I can put a bathing suit on, even if it under my clothes I am fine.

Lots of bugs, it was well done.

I love my waterproof camera for just those shots....... It was fun seeing how fast I could do it.

I still need to get a decent picture of that map. I hope to take another one since .....dare I say PB is cooperating now.

Brook has lots of great information in her No way Jose TR. I hope the picture help getting a feel for the lay of the land.

I probably have a zillion pictures of CARSLAND.

I was just able to walk through Bug's land area.

The weather was warm and I was ready for it and knew I could change right out of my wet clothes so I glad I did it.
