Oh No I can't find my documents

Ok Does anone know if they can be replaced? I am freaking out. I am sure they are here but I just can't find them.I needed to take a break from looking so I thought I'd post. We leave a week from Tuesday.

Oh no!!!! I think they can be replaced.

We just picked ours up this week and I joked to my brother that I should keep his because he will lose them or leave them at home!

We are so close to leaving and I would freak out too!

You are right about wanting to stop looking-you will usually find them then. My mom made all of us shirts to wear on the cruise and we thought we had lost our DS's and my DH said I am not telling her you better call her! Needless to say after frantic searching we found it with other cruise stuff I had put together.

Let us know what happens!!!!

Yikes! I can only imagine the feeling of panic you have.

Worst case scenario, it will be $35.00 per person to prepare and mail new documents. Your other option is to fill out the paperwork at the pier. There shouldn't be a fee for the latter.

Of course, there are other variables, such as if you have air included. In that case, you need to have vouchers in your hand in order to board the plane.

Good luck! I'm sure that you'll find them.

Don't worry, they will show up. Unless you took them out of the house or remember throwing away such a big package they are in the house somewhere. Take a break from thinking about it and I'm sure you will find them. Have you started packing? Could they be buried in the piles of things waiting to be packed?

I've read of people picking their documents up at the port. I'm sure they can be replaced and mailed overnight if they are truly misplaced.

Don't think too hard, you won't remember... just take a deep breath, relax and say...if I were documents where would I be.....

Offer $5 or $10 to the person who finds them and brings them to you. Cheaper than replacement docs and you are not freaking out looking for them. Always works for me!!!

Thaks everyone for the kind words and good advice. I am going to go to sleep and not think about them. Tomorrow we are taring the house apart and will find them. The $175(total) fee is a big incentive for me.

I put "ALL" of our important cruise vacation papers in my DVC backpack, which sits next to my lazy boy in the living room. Anytime I needed to check on something there they were at my finger tips. I have already started doing that again for next year's cruise. I have my ressies in the backpack for our cruise and for the Radisson. If I leave anything laying around DW will pick it up and put it away, the trouble with that is, she never remembers where she put it, LOL!!!

LOL, just yesterday I was looking for Delta tickets for a trip next month. Couldn't find them after an hour of looking. Went off to watch the ball game with the alumni group, came back and found them right away, in a place I'd looked twice already and my wife had looked once.

I know that the time between "Ohmigod where are they?" and "Honey, sweetness, I found them" must have been excruiciating.

PS If it helps, I "lose" our passports an average of 2-3 times per trip. They are usually right in the hide-a-belt where they should be. It drives DW crazy.

I have a notebook that I keep EVERYTHING in (my travel bible, along with the Passporter)... It's all organized with Travel Agent stuff, hotel, cruise, excursions, etc.

Yeah, I have too much time on my hands sometimes... but I can find everything quickly. I will keep checking my documents once I get them, just to make sure they're for real.
