The Best Rate Program can ONLY be booked online. It may be that the CM to whom you were speaking couldn't even access the BRP prices with her computer and remotely possible that she doesn't even know the difference between BRP and traditional AP discounts.
Generally, the BRP is lower than
AAA which is lower than rack rate. However, BRP is not as low as the discounts that have been offered in the past. I also noted that people who booked recently with the Florida Residents Discount got Moderates for the same price in Dec. that I had gotten through BRP, so if you know your dates, BRP is currently the best price going.
I am just trying to figure out how to stay in February for the best price (AAA vs. BR, etc., etc.). So after playing around Disney's Passholder's site and getting prices on everything from WL to Poly to Contemporary to both Port Orleans I decided to call and speak to a live person. Told her I was an AP holder and never stayed on property, heard about BR etc. etc. I give the same dates I used online to get prices and rooms and this is what she tells me- no rooms at WL or Poly! After just getting off website with offers!!! I don't get it! I didn't say anything for risk of sounding stupid but I am so confused now! On a good note, she did say no AP discounts rates were out yet, so maybe's there's still hope for those who don't like the BR program!?!?!
