No need for anyone to respond really.. I just need to type this out because I'm so shaken..

I spent all day today at my DD's - helping her sort through things in their aittic and bag up stuff for the Salvation Army so that when the right house comes along it will be easier for them to move..

I got home around 11 - 11:30; talked to my DH for awhile; and collapsed in bed - totally exhausted..

I then had this HORRIBLE dream! They were showing her picture on the news - saying she was missing - and they had found a "body" in a very bad section of a nearby city.. There were more details, but the jist is that even after I was WIDE awake, it was SO real I was sitting in bed, rocking back and forth, wailing "NO!! NO!!" over and over and crying and shaking.. It was SO real!! I know she's home and safe - she was sleeping on the couch when I left - but I'm still sitting here crying.. I feel like I want to run to her house and touch her to make sure she's there.. Oh God - it was so awful!

I can't remember the last time I had such a terrible nightmare..:( Just had to type this out - so I KNOW it's NOT real...........

and Good Morning

Sometimes our dreams can do awful things with our minds. Keep telling yourself its not real, its not real. Youre awake now.

That is scary. I've had dreams like that. They seem so real that it is hard to shake them off. Here's hoping for some peaceful sleep for you.

My grandmother always told me that if you dream of a death, it means there's going to be a birth.

I once had a horrible dream that my BIL (DH's brother) died. It was so vivid that I sat bolt upright in my bed, heartpounding away and tears streaming down my face. When I saw my SIL (his wife), I told her about the dream and Grandma's theory. I asked, "You're aren't, pregnant, are you?" She said "no" but there was this look on her face...

A few weeks later, they announced that they were expecting baby #3. She told me that my question had really thrown her for a loop because she had just taken the pregnancy test that morning and nobody knew the results! And since they weren't "trying", no one was expecting it.

Take courage, C.Ann. It could mean a new life is about to join your family sometime soon. Or it could be just a bad dream.

C. Ann, Have you called your daughter yet? I think I would, just to reassure myself.

I've written lots of things in the past, just to get it out. It helps.

I've had those myself. And to think that there are people out there that think being a parent is not so hard. Even when our kids are 'grown-ups' we can't seem to stop the fears.

I, too, would call her as soon as you think she'd be up. She'd understand. :)

I hate those nightmares that wake you out of a sound sleep trembling

A parents ultimate fear. We never stop worrying about them. My Mom told me that when I had my DD you'll worry about her for the rest of your life.

{{Hugs to you Mom}} Very Scary! Call your daughter you'll fell better.

I hope you're feeling better this morning! I had a similar dream about my parents once. It shook me up so much that I called them at 2:00 AM to make sure they were OK. We laugh about it now, but at the time my Mom was ready to knock my block off!

I hope you and your daughter have a great day today!

Sometimes those dreams can seem so real!

Do something nice for yourself today - maybe something with your dd, too, and wipe that nasty dream right out of your memory.

 I hope you are feeling better now. I agree - call your DD. It will make you feel better.

DD is fine!! I couldn't get back to sleep so I called her house at 6 a.m.. My son-in-law got nervous then too - wanted to know if any of my dreams ever came true - so I sidestepped that question..

I'm thinking maybe it's because we're getting ready to move in with them and I know I'm going to be relying on her more..

That's got to be one of the WORST dreams I have EVER had!!

Thanks for letting me spout off here..;)

I would have called her right away. Nightmares can be so real. I'm glad you are feeling better, now.

oh, C.Ann, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you! Those dreams can be so scary (& realistic!) Don't let it hang on - you were probably exhausted.
