Tom must have really applied pressure to get a baby that really looked like him or Kat(i)e. Maybe that's why the first adoption didn't go through. the first baby didn't look enough like either of them.
I'll bet he also paid triple after being fired from Paramount. He NEEDS that baby right away! No waiting for Oct (right before the release of the MI3 DVD.) He needs damage control NOW!
I agree that this was timed right after his apology with Brooke. Tom, how transparent can you get?
I didn't state this earlier: I also believe that Tom's firing was was not so much over his recent couch jumping, Scientology beliefs or going after Brooke, that was
publicly stated by Paramount & Sumner Redstone as the reasons. If you look at Redstone's comments & how Paramount made it clear it was no mutual
amicable parting of the ways.
Tommy Boy did something to personally PISS Sumner Redstone & the Paramount execs off. I believe it was because of how Tom "allegedly" demanded the cancellation of the re-airing of
South Park or he'd tank his own film, MI3 by not promoting it.
Someone on a recent thread mentioned how after Tom gets a large percentage off the back end of MI3, that the film probably just profits or breaks even. If this figure is true with the publicity Tom
did do, then him purposely tanking his own film would have put Paramount at a loss over MI3 - and make Cruise a dangerous, unpredictable commodity.
If I was a studio exec of Sumner Redstone's age & length of time as head of studio, and a younger arrogant "star" started threatening me on how to run my own company, I'd tank HIM and choose to take whatever non-profits would result from losing out on his future movies, over conceding to his arrogant demands.
I'm still not buying it. Nope, nope, nope!!!
