I didn't see Brooke on Leno last night, but I did just hear it on GMA. I wonder if Tom asked Brooke if he could borrow her baby for a few months.

I bet Katie, I mean, Kate is in the throes of Post Partum Depression and Tom needs help from someone.

Actually, just watching MSNBC and they said that "possibly" Katie giving birth to Suri "may have soften Tom up a bit"....hence the apology to Brook.

Well, then, MSNBC must be drinking the kool-aide, too.

The ONLY reason Tom apologized to Brooke was for self-gain. It was being fired by his movie studio for his crazy behavior that made him go apologize to Brooke. He figured that if he apologized, it'd give him some positive publicity as opposed to all the negative publicity he's been getting. Watch -- next stop is the Today show where he'll apologize to Matt Lauer for calling him glib and for his bad behavior. Again, not for Matt's benefit, but for his own.

He TOTALLY did not do it b/c he felt bad about what he said about Brooke ... he did it b/c he his stupidity and big mouth got him into trouble.

Heartfelt apology? Maybe, for once in his career, he was able to act and pull it off for Brooke. I'm not buying it, though. He's doing this for self-preservation and nothing more.

Wow, I absolutely agree with this. I cannot see this as anything less than self-promotion. Everything is going down the toilet for Tommy, he has to do whatever he can to try and gain back some small morsel of credibility. I don't think he can do it. It is too far gone.....

Yeah I just read about Brooke accepting his apology. I don't buy that it was sincere either. I guess he didn't bring Suri over for a playdate with Grier. I guess she was at home with Katie where they were both doing great.

sorry to be out of commission for a while, but I do have some intersting things to report.
First, according to this website, Leah Remini has drunk a lot of Koolaide. The website is kind of strange because you have tp look people up by first name, rather than last name. That site must be afraid of Tom, because his page was removed. And, i don't think the site is real up to date because it doesn't list anything for Katie.

She told Lori and Julia that she was sure her sister, Leah, had seen the beautiful baby Suri because she was babysitting Leah's children at the time of the visit. She said that Leah told her how beautiful and amazing baby Suri was, so she was sure her sister had seen her. According to the above-mentioned website, Nicole had drunk a little Koolaide (so it is probably OK for her to hear about the beautiful and normal Suri), but she had not drunk enough to see Suri herself.

One of the mags (In Touch maybe?) had the headline "Katie Trying To Escape w/Suri". I was standing in what I thought was a long line, trying to find the story. But, before I knew it, it was my turn at the register and I didn't find the story and had to put the magazine away. However ... I am bound determined to find out the "scoop", so I'm going to go to Barnes & Noble later today and finish reading that magazine! I will report all that I find ... which will prob. be some little piece about nothing but they have to sell magazines, so they put the shocking headline there!

I tried to take one for all of you ... but didn't think it was worth the cover price. But, I'll go back in there for the troops and get the scoop!!!!

Where's Nancy -- isn't she the one who gets the mags when they hit the shelf?!

I bought them a day late this week cause I was on the road on Thursday. I did not buy the Star though, I have my standards! I will take a minute to read the story though when I get a free minute at work. I was really tempted though and my 13 year old was looking it over.

Ok I know most of this article was already post (or linked) but this one I found on Yahoo Entertainment News has a little extra zinger at the end that we did not see before (I italicized it -since for some reason bolding didn't work- )-

So basically - he didn't change his position, he is still dangerous, and he gave this kind of apology - "I'm sorry that what I said has damaged my career, I still think you are wrong for taking antidepressants, but I am truly sorry that I said it, because it has damaged my career, and I am going to apologize for saying it but not for thinking it, because I have damage control to do. And besides, you are booked for Leno tomorrow, and you can give me MORE publicity"

The whole thing stinks of something...remember when it was reported that Penelope Cruz had seen the amazing Suri, and she was quoted as say "I don't want to talk about that anymore, because I protect the people I love" and we all thought it sounded like code for "I have been threatened by Tom and Scientology" and I need to protect the people I love by saying what they tell me to say." ? Well this whole Brooke singing the praise of Tom reeks of this to me also...it sounds so scripted...."I was so impressed with how heartfelt it was and I never felt like I had to defend myself, and we ate omlettes...etc..." It all sounds really "amazing, and beautiful" doesn't it?

You know a whole bunch of kool-aid drinkers have been holed up in some compound 24/7 trying to figure out how they can save face and Tommy, and their "special affairs" unit said "the best thing would be if Brooke Shields came out in his defense"

I don't like the whole thing.
Of course, being a part of the Suri challenge, I'm biased.

my4kids, I totally agree with you. I never believed for a second that he changed his mind. He can't-it's the basis of scientology. And besides, isn't it too little too late? When did this happen? At least 6 months ago, maybe more.

There was an article in the new People about tom&katie - Under Fire! Poor Katie, she looks so bad lately - tired, worn out, almost gray looking. And she looks taller than ever over Tom. Think that's why the wedding has been on hold? Tom didn't realize that by marrying someone so young, they might still be growing?

Every single positive quote was by one of the kool-ade drinking "friends". But now, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are saying "she is really, really, really ridiculously good-looking." There was a quote from Earthlink founder Sky Dayton (kool-ade drinker).

According to that article you posted, Brooke never said he changed his position on antidepressants. All she said he said was:

"He came over to my house, and he gave me a heartfelt apology," Shields said Friday during an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." "And he apologized for bringing me into the whole thing and for everything that happened."

He can still be sorry he spouted off, bringing her name into it, but still maintain his position.

NOT that this is MY position on it or him.

I was sure that after being on vacation for a week, I'd come back to find that I'd missed the whole thing, and pictures of Suri would be everywhere. I can't believe that photos have been taken (for Vanity Fair), and no one has leaked them!! Of course, I don't see anything here that the photographer now admits to taking the pictures?

I'm glad you guys kept up the search, though!! I was in the mountains in Quebec...I didn't see a single Scientolgist (that I'm aware of!).
