Oh Thank you Lord! Mom and I where just talking about her the other day. I kept her and her family in our prayer's. Mom was saying why we had not heard anything about her on the news. So we just kept prayer going for her! What a wonderful day!

American hostage Jill Carroll, the freelance journalist who was kidnapped in Baghdad January 7, has been released unharmed, The Christian Science Monitor said today. Carroll called her father in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to let him know she was safe, officials and newspaper staff said. "This is a wonderful day," said the paper's David Cook.

That's fantastic. I must admit that I am amazed when any of them are freed. I wonder what goes on in the minds of the captors...I don't think they sincerely believe that (at least when they capture Americans) any of their demands will be met. Do they take folks to get all the publicity for their cause that they can? But then, what determines whether they kill them or set them free? They're already murderers. Anyway, we'll take this one!

This is great news! I heard it on NPR this morning and I let out a little whoop. I wonder if the recent rescue of the hostages last week had anything to do with it. I was hoping that they would give her up unharmed.
