Oh, A Drunk Little Cucumber!! - F&W Fun with Bro and Sis Nov. 11*UPDATE 6/17* Pg.32

Very nice pictures. I so want new camera..... Hint to your dad ....... before we go to DLP and Belgium...:rotfl2:

You and me both ganging up on him may work :cool1:
I don't feel like dragging my Canon AE1 around and having to buy film..... would give me such a crick in the neck :lmao:

We'll have to try.

:lmao: I saw your crick in the neck comment and couldn't help but think about the Genie.

"10,000 years can give you such a crick in the neck!"

So thinking about a trip for Thanksgiving. DD has not been since February 2011. Maybe we could do a Dis meet :)

That would be very cool. :goodvibes. I saw in your ticker that you are probably doing Art of Animation. I would love to hear about that resort. It looks so cool!

Day 6 – Thursday November 10, 2011

We left off having just found out that Chris was a Rebel Spy. He never tells me anything, honestly. I mean, one second he’s a nice 911 dispatcher for the city and the next he thinks he’s going to be able to take on Darth Vader. I mean, really….

After that, I decided that I was a little parched. I mean, meeting up with Darth Vader and fighting him can really make you thirsty for sure. So, we headed over to the Writer’s Stop. Where I decided I wasn’t just thirsty…..you know where this is going, right?

I mean, seriously. How on earth can you walk into the Writer’s Stop and NOT get a carrot cake cookie. Would be sacrilege if you ask me. This thing is made from heaven, I tell you. Chris thought it was “just okay”……I always thought that it was a possibility he was adopted…..or the milkman’s son. :rolleyes1

After that, we decided our DHS time was done. We were still coming back Saturday morning, and Chris had some shopping that he wanted to do. I’m not going to turn down shopping….okay, maybe he’s NOT the milkman’s son.

We got there and I decided that I was hungry again. Chris didn’t disagree though. So we headed to our favorite DTD quick service eatery. Like I’m going to say no to Wolfgang Puck express.

WPE visit count on this trip thus far – 2

If you haven’t eaten at WPE before, get thyself to this location stat. I’m not kidding. Your life may depend on it….or your stomach’s life….or your overall well-being. Either way, it’s divine.

I got….

abbb8dfd.jpg

I’m so original, aren’t I? The same dinner that I got just a few days before. But those mashed potatoes are so stinkin’ good, I just can’t say no.

I got a different dessert this time. The cheesecake.

It completely usurped the crème brulee. I’m not kidding. This is the creamiest cheesecake of life. I just want to eat it right now. Argh! (On a side note, I can’t have any cheesecake right now. I’m on a new lifestyle change, and I’m totally happy about it. 20 pounds down and counting!).

We just wandered around DTD basically. Chris was taking pictures of everything he was thinking about and sending it to Sara for Riley to pick. Me, I would have just picked her something, but to each his own.

After our lunchtime and shopping excursion, we headed back to the resort to relax for a while. I really wanted to go to the pool, because the weather was nice and warm. Perfect for a dip. However, I made a fatal mistake. I sat on the bed……I laid down……I never got back up. Folks, if you want to go to the pool, don’t sit down on your bed. It’s too tempting.

At about 3:30pm, it was time to head back out. The Magic Kingdom and the Dream Lights were calling our name. Chris had never been to WDW during a season when the dream lights were on the castle….again, he’s pleading his case for being from the milkman.

In this moment, Chris and I almost had an argument. We took the bus to the MK. There was a huge group of people on the bus that were heading to the GF for a wedding. They were very rushed, and wanted to know where to go. I told them that if they took the monorail, they would have to make the whole loop to get to the GF. I told them there was a boat launch too, but I didn’t know what the timeline for those are.

Chris on the other hand, told the guests that the GF was the first stop on the resort line monorail from the MK.

Um….wrong….wrong wrong wrong wrong. And they believed him!

So, I told him when we got off the bus that the monorail stops at the Contemporary first, not the GF. To which he said, no it goes the other way. I said strongly, no it doesn’t, and he actually started getting mad at me.

I dropped it. I was so angry at that point. See, Chris and I, we have a strong relationship. In the sense that it’s slightly volatile. You don’t know how he’s going to react to things. He is never wrong. Never ever ever. You have to remember that. I wanted to tell him to remember when we stayed at the Contemporary in July. He still said I was wrong.

Dude….I’ve stayed at EVERY RESORT on the monorail line, I’ve been to WDW almost 30 times in my lifetime, 5 times within the last 12 month period, and you are arguing with me about the direction that the monorail goes?! And you think I’M the one that’s wrong?!

I let it go. I didn’t want my night to be ruined. And he was not going to be wrong. So I gave up. I didn’t want tension on my trip at all. But I was still fuming on the inside.

I needed something to cheer me up when we went in. I didn’t know what that would be, but I figured that the Tiki Room would suffice. I hadn’t seen it since Iago caught on fire (that’s so funny to say), so we headed over there.

So, we wait maybe 10 minutes for the next show. The CM comes out to let the wheelchair guests in, and there were a lot of them. So, he takes a few minutes and doesn’t come out. This lady behind me starts freaking out saying “what’s going on, what’s going on?! Why can’t we go in?!” With her baby in her arms, she HOPS the rope, goes to the CM, to which he tells her to please go back, and they would be let in shortly, explaining that they were seating the wheelchair guests. She promptly comes back and starts complaining up a storm, and then eventually drops the rope herself and everyone starts running in!

My rant begins here. What kind of society are we becoming? Because this lady is not the first kind I’ve seen. We become so impatient we can’t wait for 5 extra minutes? And then we wonder why children today have such short attention spans. Because we teach them that they don’t have to wait for anything. There’s no patience anymore. It’s instant gratification or nothing.

After my almost argument with Chris, I was a little tender. So, I did what I could do. I glared in this ladies general direction while speaking very loudly about lack of patience. Haha. It’s the best I could do.

So, onward! Let’s all sing like the birdies sing!

I had no problem with the Tiki Room Under New Management, but I don’t mind it this way either. I guess I’m indifferent in general. It was a nice distraction though.

Afterwards, we headed into the general direction of Splash and Thunder Mountain.

I told Chris he could lead the way, and he said he didn’t want to wait, so I said fine. We headed towards Tomorrowland instead.

However, we had to make a pitstop at Philharmagic first. My favorite show ever, so I had to get it in.

I just love this. I could watch it over and over again.

Then it was time to go to the world of Tomorrow.

Our goal….to move like people.

Man, moving like people is awesome. So relaxing.

But moving like people can make you hungry, so we decided to stop for some dinner after our departure. We decided on Pinocchio Village Haus, because we honestly never eat there.

I got Disney pizza. Jess (Disneyfreak508), would be drooling over this right now with her absolute love of Disney pizza.

Chris got the meatball sub with fries. It was all very good. The restaurant was pretty busy though. It was prime dinnertime, which is something that I don’t typically do. We normally eat off peak hours, but it didn’t work out this time.

After dinner, we headed out to get some good pictures of the castle with the dreamlights.

This is my favorite color.

After that, we decided to head out. We had an aggressive plan for the following day. AM EMH at Animal Kingdom, running to WPE to have breakfast (never done that before), and then off to Epcot for more F&W!

Up next: French toast covered in corn flakes…..

Mmmm carrot cake cookie...how could Chris not like it??? Well, more for you then!! :thumbsup2

I hope that wedding group found their way to the GF eventually! There aren't TOO many places to get lost once on the monorail though!

I love the Peoplemover too! It really is relaxing to move like people! :rotfl:

I thought he had lost his mind at first, but then I realized that it meant I didn't have to share, so I was okay with that.

I'm sure they did eventually find their way, but they were so absolutely confused about where they were going.

I love moving like people! It's one of my favorite things to do at the MK.

Wow, you're a better woman than I am. After getting off the bus, there would have been no way I'd have budged until the monorail went by. Seriously, if I know I'm right and can definitively prove it, I will do so immediately - especially if it's to someone I know well. My brother would have been waiting, because I would have been all about proving my point. I hope he saw the truth later in your trip. ;)

That lady at Tiki Room is how more and more people are getting - can't wait for anything, instant gratification. I worry about the future.

I have never ever eaten at WPE. Ever. I don't even think I've ever SEEN it. Maybe I'll get the chance in September - I've only ever even been to DTD one time, with DBF back in 2010.

I am also a big fan of people moving. So what better to have for people like me, who likes moving people, than to have a people MOVER? Wonderful!

I might have to try the Wolfgang chicken and potatoes this summer. It looks good!

First of all - nice MK pictures. Perfect twilight.

Second - it really IS hard to be told you are wrong when you KNOW you are right.

Third - WPE looks so yum and we ARE eating there in June because I am 99% sure we are doing the QSDP.

And - the carrot cake cookie - I have yet to try one. But that's about to change.

Oh - and you brother - I am voting for the milkman theory! :rotfl2:

We missed that castle lighting last Thanksgiving. I am making it a priority this time !! And those carrot cake cookies ARE awesome. Pssst - Chris was wrong about that, too !!!

I was really tempted to do it, but for me it's understanding that with him, it's not worth trying to argue your point. You just have to let things go, because if you don't, they become explosive and then things get ruined. I would rather just bite my tongue and not let things get out of hand. He didn't see the truth later in the trip, but if I know him, he probably looked it up and then didn't tell me that I was right, because he didn't want to admit it.

I worry about the future too with people's personalities. I just don't understand the feeling of entitlement that seems to be prevalent now. People think they're just better than everyone else. I truly don't get it.

You have to go to WPE. It's a little hard to find at first, but once you get there, you'll always remember where it is.

I might have to try the Wolfgang chicken and potatoes this summer. It looks good!

Put it on your list, no one in the group will regret it. They have something for everyone.

First of all - nice MK pictures. Perfect twilight.

When I was looking through the pictures, I thought the same thing. Twilight is my favorite time at Disney.

Isn't it horrible feeling to know you're right, but also know that if you got stubborn and proved it, they would say you're a jerk and just had to prove that they're wrong? Yes, yes I did have to prove you're wrong. :lmao:

Definitely go to WPE. It's soooooo good. We went a record breaking 4 times on this single trip. and get the carrot cake cookie too!

My mom told me he was adopted....not the milkman theory. :rotfl2:

We missed that castle lighting last Thanksgiving. I am making it a priority this time !! And those carrot cake cookies ARE awesome. Pssst - Chris was wrong about that, too !!!

You definitely have to see it, it's so worth it! So much more beautiful in person that in pictures.

Chris is pretty much wrong about everything....:rolleyes1

Sorry no milkman was involved. Danielle and Chris have the same mom and dad. Sorry Danielle you are brother and sister...... I am sure you know where his being right all the time comes from.....:laughing:

I put the carrot cake cookie on my list....yup, not passin it up this time!

That lady was nuts!!! What is wrong with people....I deal with the public every day in my line of work and nothing really surprises me anymore....makes me nuts, but doesn't surprise me!!!
