OGT Chances of a Connecting Room?

Hello!

I'm looking at a last minute cruise that is offering the OGT rate on the Disney Wonder, I'm traveling with my mother in law so it seems like is cheaper to get two rooms, one for her and the kids (yay!) and one for me and my husband. From your experience what are the chances we can get a connecting room on OGT? or at least close by? I really don't want to end up on different floor from the kids, thanks!!

It is possible, but not guaranteed. We were lucky to have adjoining rooms two times. Once on the Fantasy and once for the Panama Canal with OGT. Chances of getting connecting cabins (interior door connects the cabins) is rare but not impossible. It is just connecting cabins are pretty popular and there may not be many left for assignment when they offer them as OGT.
But, as I said, adjoining cabins (cabins right next to each other) can and do happen but not guaranteed.

We just got assigned connecting OGT rooms for our summer cruise on the Dream. So glad to have gotten some pixie dust!

As others have said, no guarantees. I'm not even sure you can put requests on *GT reservations can you?

We got totally different floors and opposite sides of the ship. Luckily we were able to upgrade at the port . I would never take that chance again.

We linked our OGT rooms. No requests are allowed for *GT. We just got lucky!

I would say your chances are very, very low. We always book 2 connecting rooms and we really have to book in advance to get the exact kinds/locations we want. You would have better luck on Fantasy/Dream than Magic/Wonder as F/D have way more connecting options than the older ships, but still, if that is a huge priority for you, I would NOT go with the "luck of the draw" option.
