Oga's Cantina Question

My husband and 9 year old son are going to HS one of the days of our trip. my husband is DYING to go to Oga's Cantina, but from what I've read, they are likely to get a standing-only bar height table. I'm thinking my 9 year old (average to tall for 9) won't be tall enough to reach. Is there anything to be done? Can they ask to wait longer for a bar seat or anything?

Idk how things are now post COVID, but when I visited last February you werent able to pick your spot. We stood at the bar and enjoyed ourselves. Most things behind the bar to look at are way above eye level, so your son should be able to see.

We were at Oga's Cantina about a week ago (11:30 am reservation) and since the physical distancing is required it's not crowded like our visit in Oct 2019. We sat at the bar this time. If you can get a reservation for a weekday it'll likely be less crowded than a weekend.

Thanks, we are looking at a Tuesday in early May, so fingers crossed. :)

I hope not Tuesday, May 4. May 4 is known as "Star Wars Day" (May the Fourth Be With You), and DHS and Galaxy's Edge may be busy that day.

I have an Oga‘s ADR for 2 people. Will they possibly allow 3 people in?

Can always ask to wait. I think right now the percentage of booths is pretty high compared to non-covid times. I don’t do indoor dining so haven’t seen for myself, but I have read here that all booths are being used and not many standing tables or bar spots are in use.

I was there last month with a party of 4, last minute an extra family member was able to join us on the trip and couldn’t the reservation for 5... I just went up to the check in person at the time of the reservation and asked really nicely if they could help, The person was really good about it and still was able to accommodate us, with no delay or anything. So just based on past experience, I don’t think you should have a problem

We had a 3 yr old with us and I asked for a booth right at the first available time I could check in and we got it

Well, we were there in October, and had ressies....when we got there, they put us right next to another group, and we wanted a bit of separation.....and the other reason for it, is I have to walk with a cane, and there was no place for us to put my cane. It was a "standing table"....so they checked, and were able to move the 2 of us to the bar, where there were seats, and I could safely stow my cane away between my legs as I sat, without causing a hazard for anyone. So, it might be possible to wait and get a better seating arrangement. Guess it depends on how busy they are, etc.
