Touring plans just secured us a reservation for my party of 3 at Oga Cantina Lunch.......for 8:30 am. I know my 21 year old son is interested in going to the place to check it out, but not sure if he is interested in going at 8:30am (he is not an early riser, but hoping to get him up for early admission on our HS day).
Do they serve any kind of breakfast item or just expensive drinks? For anyone that has gone this early in the am..... is it worth it?

Yea... I am not sure why they are open that early for "lunch" they used to have breakfast items but the menu now only shows 2 things that are all the time. I would keep looking because if hes just 21 and not a morning person I don't think drinking int he am would be his cup of tea ha.

Old breakfast items (dunno if they still offer)
Rising Moon Overnight Oats oats, dragon fruit, yogurt, seasonal fruit $7.00
Mustafarian Cinnamon Roll sweet galactic delight $6.00

2 words.... Fuzzy Tauntaun

It is basically a fuzzy navel and a great way to start the day :drinking1

They used to have a coffee drink that was really good, but I don't see it on the menu anymore. The items mentioned above, overnight oats and cinnamon roll, are no longer available either.

Oga's doesn't change menu and does not serve full meals, so they only have two serving periods, lunch and dinner. They've cut way back on the snacks they will serve too. probably to move people in and out. You can always grab a Breakfast Ronto and bring it in.

Have you visited yet? Did you keep the reservation? If so, was it worth it?
I have an early morning reservation for when we visit in May. Curious of your experience and if I should keep my reservation.

We did visit in March, but we did not go to the cantina. I cancelled my reservation before we left. We did attempt to see if we could just go in to look around, but that is not allowed. We were told we could wait but that it would be at least 30 mins. That might not sound like a long time to wait, but it was really crowded when we went (March 15-19) and we could not afford to give up 30 mins waiting to get in the cantina.... instead we waited online to do rides.

Thanks for the update. Too bad that reservation didn’t work out for you. I too was concerned about the timing of our early reservation and how it might effect our early entry ride plan. Fortunately we scored an afternoon Oga’s Cantina reservation. Now it will be great timing to take a break, sit down and have a Fuzzy Tauntaun.

Umm...not all tables are sitting tables. In fact, the majority of the tables are high standing tables. The last time I was in, they also took away the stools at the bar and made that standing. The odds of getting a sitting booth are very low. I go to Oga's once or twice each trip (so I've been at least 20 times) and gotten a seat in a booth ONCE.

Now OP - I personally love the morning slots at Oga's because day drinking during vacation is a great way to start the day. I like to get a Yub Nub or Bespin Fizz and then head over to fly the Falcon. But, if your son is not a morning person, this might not work. However, I am also not a morning person EXCEPT AT DISNEY. You may find he is the same.

Wouldn't your odds of getting a booth be dictated more by the size of your party than anything?

I've had 3 Oga's reservations and 2 of them were at booths. But one was a reservation in June of 2021 for 8 people (they didn't have plexiglass dividers up in the booths at this time) and one was in October 2021 for 5 people (They did have dividers up in the booths at this time).

The third one was also in June 2021, but for 5 people. We were at the bar.

Nope. I’ve been to Oga’s dozens of times and have never been seated at a booth. The one time I specifically asked to be seated at a booth I was with a party of 7, including a 10-month old and a four-year old and was flat-out told no. Not, sure if you can wait x amount of minutes - no. I then asked if we could have stools so the person holding the baby & the 4-year old could sit. They brought us one stool, and it was a seated table height stool. The person holding the baby was forehead height with our standing table. They then added another party of one to our table. It was comical. I thought for sure that we were a shoe-in for a booth.

Heck I'll take any time reservation at Ogas! No better way to start the day!

Oof, that’s brutal

I’m sure that guy wanted to be at the bar, too 😂

I'm not sure. My party has varied from 2-8 people. The one time we got a booth was with 3 people. Their seating system is beyond me and I'm a stage manager/production manager by trade and do schedules and fitting puzzle pieces together for a living.

LOL....I laughed at this as I said to my husband "Ressie at 8:30 at Oga which primarily has drinks? Can you imagine starting to drink at 8:30 AM?"

He then reminded me that we HAVE started with drinks at 8:30....at Ronto Roasters during the days of virtual ques of ROR at 8AM and needing to calm down after getting a boarding pass!

Just last night a 9:35 a.m. Oga's Cantina reservation popped up for our Disney Hollywood Studios day. I grabbed it for our party of 6, but am wondering if they are all going to think this mom is NUTS. I do drink alcohol, but think I'll just stick with one of the many fruity options on their "lunch" (Why call it lunch that early?) menu. Maybe we will luck out and between now and June, they will add some breakfast munchies.

I am confident that we will be in the park that early, but not certain if this 9:35 a.m. reservation time makes any sense for us.

I have a 10:25 am res, so wondering the same thing. Hubs and I might share a drink and get a "snack" for the kids. Surely they have non-alcoholic options for them, right. We just want to see the place, so we're happy to have snagged a res!

Had to update. We had Oga’s reservations for closing yesterday but decided we didn’t want to stay that late. Modified to 9:35am. We were a party of two. Our host told us we were getting a table - I was so excited! Maybe the key to a booth was an early reservation. We were led in…and seated at a table with a group of five on one side of the booth and a group of three on the other side of the booth. We were given two stools on the outside of the table. It was cozy. 😂

I don't know why I find this so funny, but I do.
What did you order at 9:35 a.m.?

We JUST (minutes ago) canceled our 9:35 a.m. reservation, because we were able to get a 9:50 p.m. reservation, which works much better with our age 20-something children.
